I thought this design was much better for ergonomic purposes. But I like yours too, LOL.

Most thought it was unnecessary, even if it initially sounded like a nice thought.Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on Tuesday indicated that iPhone 15 Pro models will no longer have solid-state buttons due to "unresolved technical issues before mass production." He now expects the buttons to have a "traditional" design.
Next we're going to hear that USB C has been delayed for another year!!
I don't understand what the advantage of solid state buttons would be. How is this going to be marketed to make it sound like a "gotta have" feature?
This is not exactly "making" a major design decision, it's cancelling a feature. Of course they're prepared to pull any feature during their engineering, design, and production verification phases. That's why these phases exist after all and why they have established backup designs ready.Apple are not making major design decisions 5 months before shipping. If the solid state buttons are not there, they were never planned to be there when the rumors started circulating.
There was but that was almost 30 minutes earlier by the same writer. He must have just forgot...Wasn't there a story about this today already on MR???
Great. Now I can say Hey Siri to turn on the phone since it is never truly shut off anyways. The rumors are all designed to throw people off. In reality, they'll get rid of ALL the buttons and you'll use only Siri voice commands to control the whole phone!![]()
they may have been solid but definitely not solid stateDoes anyone remember the classic iPhone 2G mute and plastic solid-state buttons?
