Personally, I don't come on this site for MacRumors, and I mostly ignore all rumors articles. Rumors are useless to me because they are too unreliable to affect my plans or wants or emotions. I never make decisions based on rumors and I never get excited over rumors. They are about things pretty far in the future, and then they are changed or are proven wrong when the time comes. I come here for MacFacts, and there are plenty of articles of facts on here this site, despite the name.
I’m here especially for the rumors. I’m fueled purely by outrage, spite, coffee and donuts.

Apple is having more design issues since design is reporting to operations.

Or ... Apple is refusing to release product designs that don't meet their own standards. Are you saying the oversight by Operations has raised the bar?

Regarding being "delayed"... something that was never scheduled for release can't be delayed. Opportunistic headline.

For me they were not of interest and i like the mute switch (yeah one. Of those,) I can use with case when needed but I am retired seldom in meetings I need to mute but can when needed.

Me I like the camera tech and it draws me every year but I am not sure about the rumor of improved zoom being something I want.
The periscope lens may be a little overhyped for what you’re getting or more to the point, what most people need/use their camera for. Of course that will be moot for potential 15 Pro customers since the periscope lens will most likely be exclusive to the 15 Pro Max.

I think the amount of people who care about what hole their phone charges from doesn’t even reach the millions.
Most don’t care.
Exactly. For most people, at least initially, they won’t see any benefit from the switch to USB-C from lightning. Given Apple’s reluctance to switch for the last few years until they were forced to as well as rumblings from Apple through rumors that they want to go port-less, I predict USB-C may not last close to the 11 years that lightning had with the iPhone, maybe not even half that long.

I think gimmicky features are overruling sensible design choices. That's sales/marketing/ops are dictating product features.

Apple are not making major design decisions 5 months before shipping. If the solid state buttons are not there, they were never planned to be there when the rumors started circulating.
Yes but then they would have gotten the rumor wrong and instead...apple is making major changes.

Excellent news! I'll be upgrading from my 12 Pro, and the solid state buttons are one thing I was not keen on, so this is perfect. I can dodge that bullet for another 2 or 3 years.

The volume and side buttons needs to be moved back up again and they need to replace it with a Touch ID button.
My car holder keeps pressing them getting sos and I have the bracket all the way up.

I think that’s good news for those considering buying 15 Pro.
The Mute button is very unique and practical, and I want it to stay so.
physical ,simple,practical and straightforward.

I hate the “virtual” programable all in one key idea.
Whenever Apple removes a feature it’s because of form over function.
I wish there was also a dedicated Camera button like Sony phones.

I’ll probably bite on the 15, we’ll see what offers are around Boxing week. Been enjoying the 13 since launch, besides some iOS and Siri issues. Hardware has surprisingly been better than my previous iPhone’s, no warranty replacement yet.

they just dont have enough for next year so they want to delay it
Thing is, the design for iPhone 15 series is well and truly "locked in" by now and would have been for some time. Apple won't be tinkering with any design changes now as all the parts needed from their manufacturing partners would have been ordered and already in the process of being manufactured to build up inventory for the 100's of millions of orders placed. You don't make major changed this late in the day.

I'd have thought by now that all these rumours are just that. No one has a clue & occasionally if you chuck enough turds at the walls, some will stick and some "analysts" are seen to get things right.

We'll know exactly how it will look when the 3rd party cases start appearing in the summer. They are always, always, always right.

I'm beginning to wonder if we've reached the pinnacle of mobile phones. Aside from improved assistants - maybe a transition to some AI integration, what else can we achieve? Battery life and performance, I suppose. But, where is the wow factor we used to be a part of?
Yeah, mobile phone has become a pretty mature market and meaningful innovations to wow people do not Really exist anymore. Dynamic island (aka tweaked notch) you say? No one is asking for that I can tell ya. And not everyone would like to use a Force Touch volume button and action button instead of physical switches either.

Just put a new chip in the iPhone 4S body, maybe extend the screen closer to the edges, maybe Touch ID in the power button. Sell it for even $1000 and I’d probably buy one.
