It looks like AirPrint is here to stay, at least according to Apple's new page they just published on their site: http://www.apple.com/ipad/software-update

Did you previously run the earlier betas on that machine?
I have a theory that the upgrade to the latest beta has removed the support but won't remove the support files if they've been installed from an earlier beta (as they weren't there in the original 10.6.4, the update won't remove them)
This would explain why the latest beta works for some people and not for others
Perhaps someone got cold feet because of security concerns.
What would be more fun than driving around and trolling for open wireless access points, and sending random print jobs to the devices of strangers? Most people don't bother with the hassle of securing their shared printers.
The public relations fallout would be worse than "antennagate." At least dropped calls don't burn up your consumables like ink and paper.
I did. It didn't print to my Canon printer. Running the same build. It sees the printers but will not print to them.
So people are testing it and are getting mixed results. What version of iTunes? Did you have 10.6.5 builds before?
Works for me using a windows xp machine running itunes 10.1 beta. I can print to an hp color laserjet and brother laserjet, and both from an iphone 4 and ipad running the latest 4.2 beta.
Your experience is not what some are getting, including myself. The only way we'll be able to tell what is going on is 1) compile the information as to what build of 10.6.5, what version of iTunes, what build of 4.2, what device, and what printer make/model it is or 2) wait until word from Apple.
If you want to do the first option, here you go: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc...DVCYTZPVlMwdVBFdndRT3c&hl=en&authkey=CMbm_YII
Are You Serious?
I wonder what the motive is.

LOL - it wouldn't make the news unless someone sent porn over to be printed...
There was a time when all decent printers had PostScript. (and paid through the nose for it.) But then there was only one print driver needed, and a simple text file set up all the printer options and customizations. Seems like that could still be an option for iOS: print to any networked PostScript printer. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of PostScript printers any more.
That spreadsheet is misleading. One must state how everything was installed. Just the latest betas and G.M or installed over previous betas.

For what it's worth, I always install over the previous version and everything works fine.
