Kingsly, I know you were just saying it out of fun. I would expect, as a muslim, some respect. Teasing the phrase 'Allah (God) is the most Great' is just not on. Don't make religious or racial jokes.
diametric, please accept my humblest apologies. That was terribly insensitive of me.
Also, thanks for correcting my awful arabic. 😉
The following announcement is not directed at any one. It is simply a philosophical question for readers to silently ponder over for the rest of the day. DO NOT DISCUSS IT IN THIS FORUM, AS IT WOULD BE OFF TOPIC.
I would like to point out the constant verbal attacks and ridicule that Christians face on a daily basis. Somehow, that is socially acceptable. If I were to wear a shirt that has a star of david or crescent of islam and the caption "bad religion," I would be called insensitive. People make fun of Jesus and Christianity all the time, and thats socially fine... even funny.
Now, I am in no way trying to justify my previous actions. That would be hypocritical. The above is just food for thought.

Kingsly - Good, interesting, point. But I think it's the difference between undermining the underdog, and challenging the authority.
Actually, having a laptop onboard in the event of snakes could be useful. Wouldn't the snakes be attracted to the heat of the laptops? Just pile up all the batteries in one place and let the snakes wander over there. >_>
The thing is as Apple only did a selective recall, are you willing to stake a few hundred million dollar plane, as well as potentially billions of dollars worth of lawsuits should that battery blows the plane up, on Apple's judgement?
I've got a better idea. Let's ban everything except humans from planes, including clothes. That way we can't have any electronics blowing up, any concealed weapons, any seemingly harmless substances that can be combined to form explosives... 🙄
Add Korean Airlines to the list of Airline companies freaking out about exploding batteries. I just hope American Airlines doesn't follow in their foot steps. I have to fly to Japan in November and that flight is too long not to be able to fire up your laptop and get some work done.
