There’s gonna be that one guy like “wow, another useless thing by Apple” like do you just hate fun?
Given the number of downvotes Apparently there are on Macrumors... They need their own subform. Call it SouthPark Goth

Perhaps a temperature-sensing feature on the back of the phone/camera?:-D
I’m surprised that so, so few of us actually though that this is coming to the Pro lineup, and that’s one of the reasons why the camera bump has gotten so

I already pointed it out, but apparently most of the MR readers haven’t realized that it is a heat map being displayed. Even MR editors mention the iPhone 17 Pro colors, thinking the orange and blue colors are the hint. I don’t think so, I think this year we’re getting a thermal camera in the Pro lineup, as a differentiator of the Pro models, against the iPhone 17 Air, and the future foldable phones.

Also, if you think about it, a thermal camera could be a useful feature for many professionals, just like LiDAR was back in the day. Another reason for professionals to get the 17 Pro.

Prepare to be underwhelmed.

Interesting...definitely the most seemingly meaningful graphic of the past few years but one that doesn't map at all onto actual rumors.

What if the blue and orange is to mimic a thermal vision camera due to the vapor chamber for cooling? Pretty crazy.

I used to get excited with the type of announcements. Those days are long gone. There’s no awe and no sense of surprise. With Tim Cook’s Apple we already know what we’re getting 12 months in advance.

This is literally a rumors site full of stories about devices and software that might be announced.

Stop coming here for a year, and next year's hardware will be a surprise.

Even outside of the rumor community, many people know. A lot of people don't even distinguish between what is rumored, and what is actually announced. So many people don't realize it is supposed to be a surprise.
