I really don’t think it’s about improved cooling. Apple may mention improved cooling. But they aren’t so stupid as to make the fact their phones have had heat discharge issues the center of their event branding.

Take my money already! I have a perfectly well functioning iPhone 14 Pro Max that needs replacing. Could do we the new airPods Pro 3 as well.

My theory is that it's all based on the Aluminum casing of the phones as a better heat dissipator than Titanium.

The description is inaccurate. It does not change the longer you hold. In fact, it doesn’t appear to respond to a hold at all. The only time you get a response is after initial contact and with continuous movement.

Yeah, that makes sense. It definitely looks like a heat map. If it ties into better cooling, that would be a huge plus for gamers. It could make a real difference in performance during long sessions.

I always do an hour minimum when gaming. And in an iPhone, I considered that as long gaming sessions. If it has a better cooling and could retain its performance for at least 45 mins - 1 hour, I could be very happy.
