We will never know if that Analyst figured something out OR not.

Apple had time to react & respond accordingly.

All we do know is that Apple now has one less option than before ! ... the one the Analyst pointed out !

The most interesting point that NO ONE is talking about is the release date for Apple TV+.

Nov 1st is the one year anniversary from when Apple announced they would stop reporting iPhone Unit Sales.

Nov 1st is ALSO the most-likely date for Apple's next Quarterly Earnings Release.

Seems like the price of AAPL is coming in too high for options expiration this month’s third week. Probably needed to bad news to make sure they had enough time to repositions their calls/puts before they get killed. I wouldn’t read too much into this.

So true. I didn’t want to pay 9.99 for Apple Music but tried the 3 month trial and the rest is history.

For your example there are thousands if not more of people who tried the free trial, myself included, and then never subscribed. And since Verizon includes Apple Music subscriptions with some of their plans, most likely Verizon is getting a nice bulk discount so that is a lot of $9.99s that aren't getting spent. Yes, I do realize that ultimately the subscriber is covering most if not all the cost, but not $9.99 per customer.

Free tiers of Spotify and Pandora work fine for me, and that's $9.99 more in my pocket that I can spend on something else.

Since they are tying the free year of Apple TV+ to buying new hardware, I can see what the analyst is saying. And by giving a free year, which is quite generous, means that they are going to have to spread those costs out somehow. They are either spending money licensing/buying content or they are spending money creating content. Or it will look like Apple TV+ is a gigantic failure because it is spending a ton of money but bringing nothing in. So if they spread some of the costs towards the hardware business, which has quite nice margins, they can make the numbers at Apple TV+ look better.

Phone prices are being held steady despite inflation and the looming tariffs because they held the line or decreased costs on components and they are probably also willing to sacrifice some profit to keep customers.

Apple is sitting on a ton of cash so they will be just fine, though I am sure the investors would love them to use that money to buy back shares to increase share price and to also to increase dividends.

I will be curious to see what all they offer in terms of original content, but I don't see myself spending another $4.99 a month.

As awkward as Apple and Samsung? One side they're suing each other for $6Billion dollars and on the other, Apple is using their displays in their iPhones?

Not THAT awkward. Samsung has many subsidiaries- one making washing machines, other displays, third mobile phones, fourth making TVs etc...so, you can be in dispute with one, but functioning normally with others. Plus, wasn’t Samsung making more money by selling Apple displays, than selling their own brand phones?

That analyst is clueless. He has no idea how powerful, how entrapping and addicting the Apple Ecosystem is. Once Apple customers get sucked into the Apple Ecosystem, it's very difficult to bail out. And often it starts with a Free Trial. Remember all the clueless analysts that said Apple Music would fail? That it would never ever compete or catch up to Spotify etc? LOL

Apple Music also started with free trials.

Lol I can get apple music for free with my verizon plan and have yet to even bother. Never mind if i had to pay for it.

We have it installed for free on one of our 6 lines

The reason why the analysis of Goldman Sachs or any other similar financial companies should be ignored is because their main focus is on short term results for pure stock market valuations. Same thing happened with Amazon for years when Jeff Bezos was criticized for not showing enough profitability, but it was long term investments and a multitude of choices he made to make Amazon what it is today. Wall Street doesn't like companies willing a give away stuff so they can profit from it at a later stage. I wasn't sure I was going to subscribe to Apple tv+ because of the limited amount of shows I was interested but since I was thinking of buying a new ipod touch , this offer helped me make the purchase and it will give me a year to see if the amount and quality of shows from apple will be worth keep the service.

This call took Apple below $1T on Friday. Let more banks back the Apple Card or maybe Apple needs to start their own bank.

Do you have to buy a new device to get the free Apple TV+? Or can you get a free year even on an existing device?

Wow you can cut $21.42/mo on two iPhones. Ask yourself do you really need insurance? Some questions to ask yourself?

1. How often do you misplace your phone?
2. How often do you crack your screen?
3. Which iPhone does you and your wife own?

You and your wife are spending $514.08 over two years. Is that worth a piece of mind?

You can flip cracked iPhone for at least 60% of its value and get another phone with the difference. That's my thought process...

Uh, thanks? o_O

I always get my two new iPhone replacements worth of AppleCare. But thanks for chipping in on what I spend my money on when I was merely asking for a bundling of services not a price reduction.

That is why a finance person should never ever lead a company. They are short sighted and visionless.

For the next 12 months the service isn't worth $1.99 a month with the content.

Maybe next year they can be worth $4.99

This is BS when a price of a coffee usually costs more at Starbucks where the line is forever growing. A couple weeks worth of coffee costs more that a year of Apple TV.

Besides, you don’t think they’ve been filming new content since the announcement? Lol. People sometimes...

[...]I am hoping Apple at some point creates a master subscription plan that includes all their services and iCloud storage at a fair price for individuals and families. That might entice me jumping into other services that at this point I don't care about it.

Me too! Prime? ++?? Core??? :p

Seriously, we’ve got iCloud, Music, TV+, Arcade, News+ Care+, all payable with an Card...

This is pure market manipulation. I suggest to file an SEC complaint. AAPL shorts are getting more desperate by the day.
