New iMacs are in the pipeline, its overdue a redesign too, since the current iteration was launched about 6 months after the first generation Retina MacBook Pro. I wonder if they are going to make it as think as the Surface Studio?

Don't you get it? It will be thinner than the Surface Studio with ultra low-power AMD mobile GPUs and max 16 GB ram.... because reasons.

Why would they lower prices on the MP? It's completely dead to them and they want that micro market to trail off. The profits are in the phones, watches and such. It sort of amazes me people are cluelessly waiting for an update for it.

This is Tim and Apple's way of saying "here's a crumb". These folks are deaf to their customers but more importantly they've lost thier edge. Huge price increases for marginal improvements. I've always thought Apple provided value but not so much anymore.

Courage (noun): In 2016, charging a $600 premium for a 1 TB SSD over and above the already inflated price of a 256 GB SSD.

I think we've finally discovered why Apple is so damn stingy with "free" iCloud storage and why their paid storage tiers are a ripoff compared to other services -- they supply themselves with this storage at these asinine prices!
