They also dropped the 128GB option for the Mac Mini. Maybe others but I didn't check...
MacBook “pro” starts with 128GB storage! Not very pro like. At least they are taking baby steps.
Alongside a refresh of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro this morning, Apple has also dropped the price on high-end storage upgrades across the Mac lineup. This includes the iMac, iMac Pro, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and even the soon-to-be-discontinued Mac Pro.

For the iMac Pro, 2TB SSD upgrades have been marked down by $200, while the 4TB SSD upgrade has dropped by $1200.
The updates continue into the old Mac Pro as well, with the 1TB upgrade dropping by $200. Apple has also removed the 64GB RAM option for the Mac Pro from its store, and made this model only available in 16GB and 32GB options.

Fusion Drive should've been dropped entirely as well.
I still see the quad core w/ 128GB for $799 in the US store. What are you seeing?
iPad Pro 1TB price delta from 512GB is still $400.
I take this as the bridge to an all ssd drive in next iMac version.Prices still are quite inflated, but finally more reasonable.
Fusion Drive should've been dropped entirely as well.
Maybe the 'new' Apple we've been waiting for is finally showing up for real.
I was thinking the changes could have something to do with Ive’s departure myself. I don’t think he had anything to do with costs, but the component costs he wanted drove the prices up.It can’t be linked to the departure of Jony Ive. Something is happening inside Apple.
ON THE MILITARY STORE THERE IS NO PRICING CHANGE FOR THE 4TB SSD MODEL!!
Maybe so. Maybe someone was shifted to take Ive’s role, another one shifted to take the role of the first guy and so on. And one of them came up with the idea to cut prices. Who knows. I’m not even trying to analyze that mess which actually seems to be kind of a mess after reading recent reports. But something is going on.Or maybe with the recent changes in operations, the company is taking a closer look at pricepoints and redundancy (12-inch Macbook).
