Yeah this 20 thing is BS. Sounds like Apple Stores are hoarding them all, and are rocking 250-500 6+'s per store.

Well, maybe he meant 20 per carrier/configuration, or his store just got crap supply for some reason. Constrained supply for sure is true especially compared to the 6 supply, but 500 is much better than 20 total.
Edit: I don't even know why I care as I know I am not getting one today, but I won't lie, I am excited to check them out for sure. Then may order for next month if I like it enough.
The reports match up in Australia and England.. If you weren't in the first 50 , you didnt get a 6+.
Congrats everyone! Reporting from Manhattan Beach, CA. I'm about number 20-30 (screw resellers and cutters) reading this is making me feel much better about my odds. Sadly I am here for T-mobile so idk what T-mobile stock is. Would I be able to purchase an att phone as last resort? Can I ask apple which iPhone plus works for T-mobile?
Apple flagship store Hamburg, Germany had 400 of the iPhone 6+. I don't know why similar sized stores in the US should have significantly less. 20 obviously is not true at all.
Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket Ontario has no more of the 6 Plus. Not sure how many they had since they won't tell anybody but they ran out pretty early on once they started handing out the reservations.
Yup, this isn't true here at least. #59 in line, Freehold New Jersey. I got my reservation for the AT&T space grey 6+ 64gb, the exact model I wanted.
That doesn't really count. Your unit was essentially just sent to the store for pickup instead of your home. The concern was for people who did not reserve. It doesn't matter what number you are in line if you have a reservation with today's date.
Maybe he's referring to his inline reservation that they pass out. The apple store person goes around and asks what phone you want. After that they give you a ticket or virtual ticket "reservation" for your phone. At least that's what I think he's talking about
I'm pretty sure he meant Launch Day reservation not Pre Orders. I'm at my local Apple Store and the 40th guy in line was still able to reserve a 6Plus.
Yes this is also true for Tyson's Corner Apple Store in Virginia. We were around #100
position in line, and they had 6+ available except for 16gb. Probably 250+ 6 plus available. Shortage is hype, nothing like last year's gold 5s.
I haven't pre-order online but do you think I will have the chance to pick up IP6+ from next week? Or it will be remain out of stock for weeks?
My local store in jacksonville had at least 500 plus of the 6+ I was 107 and still got a 64gb plus space grey att the cut off for pluses was at number 110 and I'm sure scalpers and their families all got 2 each.
How long did you wait in line? I'm out in AA County in MD - so not far from Tyson's...I won't be going there, but just curious - what kind of line is still there?
