It's a not a live event in the old sense.
It's a live audience to watch the usual pre-recorded AD.
Hopefully the prices stay the same
If we see a new iPhone variant (the Air) it will be interesting to see how the markets are segmented
Personally I hope they start equipping non Pro iPhones with 120Hz screens so I can stop buying into the Pro line, all I want is the better display and bigger battery and the plus is already two thirds of the way there
Not holding my breath tho, ProMotion is clearly a selling point

My 12PM could totally tough it out another year. If they don’t completely fumble the specs, I’ll probably pick up the new Air. It’s time for a change.

My panties are VERY bunched up and tattered at this point from not having an iPhone option that is sized for "human hands".
I am looking forward to handling the Air variant in person. Hopefully it evolves into something worth considering in future generations. Not gonna beta test first gen on it, but looking forward to see how it does with folks here. I have relegated to 5 years between upgrades. Makes the cost and value quotient more palatable.
Who knows? They could mean "awe" in the "Awe, what a cute little phone!" way.

I don't think it has anything to do with thermals. They just stacked the colors of the iPhone Pro and Air on the Apple logo.

I think it just means drop the hope of AWE - AI still does not work properly.
It could also just be that the AWE Dropping is going to be all about dropping AWEs in disappointment?

AWE - my iPhone 16 can't run half of the options

Yeah I'm generally just hear to take the piss out of the event name, add comedy heckling, or to see others moan because established technology/products generally aren't completely revolutionary every single year (yet some people can't help but keep replacing their perfectly good stuff on an annual basis because they have more money than sense).
After threatening it for years but never getting around to it, my girlfriend finally replaced her 2011 Macbook this weekend. Now that's a truly revolutionary upgrade! High Sierra(?) to Sonoma and some old intel chip with integrated graphics to M4 will be quite noticeable! If it's not at least somewhat exciting or noticeably improved why are you thinking of upgrading?
