What makes you certain that there will be exactly one week between the invitation and the keynote event?

Hah, I've been looking around here for a while and the level of geekery still amazes me

I was trying to think of the word for this. Geekery is probably the best one. :D

It's in black and white on the official calendar. How can you miss it??

:D:D:D:D:D:D

Doesn't mean they can't "announce" it next week.... Wasn't it 6 months in between the Original iPhone Announcement and actual release?
...And a month or so between iPad and release, but there the first generations therefore newer and much more hype and anticipation. However today i am hoping will be a good day for Apple Fanboys and Girls. What time do they announce the invites normally?

8am pacific time I think, though someone mentioned 1pm. Either way we should have heard by about 7pm BST.

Apple Special Events invitation dates:
March 2009: 12:06 PM on a Thursday, Special Event took place on a Monday with 5 days between invitation and event.
September 2009: 12:03 PM on a Monday, Special Event took place on a Wednesday with 9 days between invitation and event.
January 2010: 12:06 PM on a Monday, Special Event took place on a Wednesday with 9 days between invitation and event.
April 2010: 12:05 PM on a Monday, Special Event took place on a Thursday with 3 days between invitation and event.
September 2010: 1:53 PM on a Wednesday, Special Event took place on a Wednesday with 7 days between invitation and event.
October 2010: 11:06 AM on a Wednesday, Special Event took place on a Wednesday with 7 days between invitation and event.
March 2011: 11:10 AM on a Wednesday, Special Event took place on a Wednesday with 7 days between invitation and event.

That's the Engadget timeline for posting received invitations. I think it's pretty likely that we will get any information about the next special event around 12PM eastern time or maybe an hour earlier.

Well theres another day gone and another week pretty much gone, I really do think it would be a wednesday. Hmmm I'm starting to get sick of all this wait. Probably to much hype makes more disappointment at the announcement. Apple should release soon if they don't want to over hype which could easily then lead to a failure on there hands. :(
