Apple's virtual "Unleashed" event kicks off today at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, with the headline announcement expected to be redesigned MacBook Pro models based on Apple silicon. We will almost certainly also be hearing a release date for macOS Monterey and may see a few other announcements such as third-generation AirPods and a new high-end Mac mini.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website, on YouTube, and in the company's TV app across its platforms. We will also be updating this article with live blog coverage and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds. I have to say I'm kinda excited. They probably won't be announcing the thing I need most in my Apple lineup today (the new MX series 30" iMac), but if they announce a high-end Mac Mini with more ports, I might just splurge and get that in the meantime. I really, really thought the high-end iMacs would get announced in time for Xmas shopping, but now I'm hearing 2022?...

My wife needs a high-end MX MBP for work, so I'm happy about today otherwise.

Cookies and coffee ready. Would like to replace my 2012 27” iMac. Wouldn’t mind the new version or mini with a good reasonably priced Apple 30-32” display.
 
Not so sure about the animation though... it's like Star Wars hyperdrive but it's confusing to my senses... I'd rather look at the macrumors comments page.
 
i wonder how long until all game developers start supporting mac computers. if the 16 and 32 core GPUs are really 2-4x faster than the ones in the M1 chip, then the new notchbooks can definitely game
