Damn the new 14" MBP looks great, but $1999 is.....expensive. I'm sure the cost increase is justified, but for 13" M1 MBP users that additional cost just isn't worth it. If you're selling your base model 13" M1 MBP to pay towards the upgrade, you're still potentially going to be paying $1100+ just for a base model 14".

Think Apple got their pricing strategy wrong on this.

They kept the same prices for the 16-inch, which is great. The 14-inch is expensive, though. The remaining 13-inch MacBook Pro is probably going to be replaced by an M2 MacBook Air next year.

The 16” went up $100.

If you look over the history of Mac notebooks, that's far from ridiculous. Everything's a bit pricier w/the pandemic inflation bumps.

If one can't afford that, there's always the M1s. Mighty fine notebooks on their own for half the price or less.
