So do they ship with Monterey?
I don't think people are saying that $1999 isn't justified in terms of what you're getting, just the increase in price over the current base MBP is the best part of $1k, and is realistically going to cost more than that to upgrade if you're selling your M1 MBP to pay towards it.If you look over the history of Mac notebooks, that's far from ridiculous. Everything's a bit pricier w/the pandemic inflation bumps.
If one can't afford that, there's always the M1s. Mighty fine notebooks on their own for half the price or less.
No U.K. pricing yet... that's expensive though.$1999 and $2499 for the base models.
So now that it is out, will macrumors list who got right and who got it wrong?

We will almost certainly also be hearing a release date for macOS Monterey and may see a few other announcements such as third-generation AirPods and a new high-end Mac mini.

yea, but you'd still expect them to be goodI remember MKBHD theorizing that Apple's new design language favors odd quirks that are deliberately polarizing.
Granted, I dunno who is going to rush to defend these legs.
Just paid that for a 32GB/2TB Lenovo X1 Carbon... but at least that one supports eGPU to plug in Nvidia GPU. I'll try it with a RTX8000. 😂Oh FFS, $2K for a 14" laptop. My 2015 MBP 13" was $1100.
Tim is getting old.
