Maybe a new iPhone & iPod Touch?! Although that would be earlier than I would have expected those two products to be refreshed.

New displays,Apple TV and a new product ?

Apple TV and Cinema Displays are the only things really. iPods and iTunes get updated in September, as per their production cycle. If they did do the TV and Cinema stuff on 24th March, it would reduce the number of things to be announced for WWDC, thus giving more room for Snow Leopard and the iPhone.

If the March 24th event is happening. The only products that could annouce would be.

New 30-inch display, Apple TV and Snow Leopard.

In this economy, a new product is not going to happen.

iPhone revision is in June.
iPod revisions are in Sept.

In this economy, a new product is not going to happen.

Why don't people understand that new products are in the pipeline of years?
IF there is a new thing, its been in development for years, the current state of the economy wouldn't effect that at all.

At this point, I don't think there's going to be an event on the 24th of March. Unless Apple has really been able to keep something under wraps, there's not enough rumors going around for them to be able to do an event on a new product.

That's irrelevant. You need consumers to purchase those products and with unemployment rates going up and people saving more that pool of consumers shrinks.
