Yes, makes sense, they want to keep people from seeing or not seeing him in the event of an event...(funny wording....haha)

The next iPhone will be out before June. Look for an iPhone event in late April. Apple won't hold an event in June, since people are expecting Steve to be back. He won't be.

what's with these guys? Hey are you Steve's physician? What's all that drivel.

My Apple Guide mentioned there might be a "pleasant surprise" at the event.
. "Surprise", by definition - something unexpected. Seems unlikely to be an announcement about something predictable. Maybe a tablet or even a netbook? Seems unlikely, given Apple's stance on both over the past year. My guess is that Jobs is on the mend and itching to get back in the spotlight. Apple needs to maintain a bold, confident front at this time of financial instability when the banking and retail world is crumbling all around us. If he is to be back before June, they are not going to mark his recovery with a speed-bump affair, rather a bells, whistles and fireworks event to show that the King is not dead. What better way than with an across the board launch led by a new Mac Pro, Cinema Displays, iMacs and minis. The Macbook/Macbook Pro was the starter, now bring on the main course.:D

first post iphone

Is it possible that the suprise may be a new iphone hardware update or is it still massively unlikely till June.

That's another type of "pleasant surprise," a good one too.

Why would they have a completely separate architecture for one model line, when they can continue to use what they already have on the MB/MBP/MBA, which also happens to be better?

Because I don't trust Apple to do that. :) Lowballing is my way of offsetting any disappointment.

We won't see iPhone updates till midyear. This was actually confirmed a month or so ago by some Apple Exec. They said that they want to stick with their current pruduct cycles, which means mid-year for iPhone.

Confused...

As I am perfectly aware that the word rumour means unconfirmed and means little in the real world. But both of those comments on my iphone update thing said totally different things. Oh well, I still would love to see an iphone update as im hopefully getting one next week.

I'm curious what a major leap in specs would be to you, seeing as we're getting GAINESTOWN next.

Also, I'm curious as to how you'd change the case. Period. I'm having a heck of a time coming up with something radically different.

True, as for the case, I'll guess they'll go for their current hardware design style which is conforming, unexciting and unaspiring, in other words, it's going to be a grey and black metal box.

I guess an iPhone announcement would be possible without release, but I would think Apple would get more negative press for not addressing their computer line than they would positive about the iPhone. It's not sure MR member that are getting fidgety, the lack of updates has been showing up in the paper too.

Mac Pro case mock ups are in Tallest's post:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/635530/

Will probably be deeper, keep the holes, black bezel perhaps and maybe a change in the handle design. But I don't think anybody wants that.

I did a lot of work with the requirements of Tylersburg and the size of the current internal setup and I came to this conclusion:

If Apple is going to give us a full Tylersburg board, the Mac Pro case will HAVE to be redesigned, if nothing else, to be longer.

If they keep the same size case, we can expect a cut from eight RAM slots to SIX.

No Quad iMac's??!!! forget it!

This rumors are making me feel "sad" for Apple... I need to urgently buy a new machine, but sadly I guess I'll go Hackintosh way this time, after 14 years using Macs...

I'm able to build a Quad Core machine (Intel Q6600) with a nice Gigabyte board, 2HDD (250Gb + 1Tb), 9800GT graphics, 4Gb RAM, nice Antec Sonata 3 box, DVD-R, AND a 24" Samsung Display for less tham 1000€. If Apple build an Imac arround this configuration, even cutting on the HDD, and with 20" display with a price tag close to that, I would buy it, but it seems they dont...

I'm really trying not going Hackintosh, I'm even been "living" those last 3 months with a friend's iMac core duo, but now he wants it back...

They really need to review their product line and align it a bit more with Intel offerings.

Don't be sad about building a Hackintosh. It is quite an adventure. A great lot of fun. When it boots Leopard the first time, you will sit back and say, "Wow, I did it!"

No new mini Tomorrow

My thoughts:

There won't be a new Mini tomorrow i think,
The posted video and the leaked picture from the mini do both have 10 "fan holes". But the last leaked picture with the box has only 9 "fan holes".....

Maybe there is just one fake and another picture real, but this are just my thoughts.......

Don't blame me if i'm wrong:p:D:eek:
