Apple Expands List of Stores Open for Thanksgiving Day [Updated]

Either go to work, or you will have no work to go to.

This only works because some people give in.

If EVERYONE refused to work Thanksgiving day, the store would close. What are they going to do, fire everyone?

My mom used to work on Thanksgiving Day. Honestly, it wasn't an issue, we just ate a little earlier, or after 8PM. I think some of these people need to realize that there's always people that are going to need to rent a movie, buy salad, turkey, and all that at the last minute. We always wait until the last minute to buy the fixings for the dinner as there's only the four of us and we never know what's going to happen. Sometimes we go out, often times not.

I think the only retail places that should be open are supermarkets and gas stations though. I also think that these people need to be in high spirits, because most of us that do our shopping that day are very grateful for it.

And honestly, you can have a great brunch/lunch instead of the dinner too. Needless to say, you're going to be eating the same thing all week anyway.

when i was a kid in NYC in the 80's, only the hospitals and police stations were open on thanksgiving day, x-mas and new year

people somehow went to the video store the day before to rent a movie

Less Turkey, more iPhones. USPS working Sundays. I don't like this trend.

Retail workers might as well give it up, retailers wont be happy until they are open all day Thanksgiving and it's guaranteed to be coming.

You must have not noticed the economy is horrible and people desperately need their jobs and incomes.
