So you think the iPhone should have a different design every single year? Since when do smart phones change design on an annual basis? They all really relatively look the same, look at the competition, they don’t drastically change either.

I think what you’re trying to do, is use some personal jab at Apple, but yet, it’s evident you don’t have an understanding that smart phones don’t change design frequently, it’s incremental in terms of what they introduce in hardware features/software.
Androids have looked the same for yeeeaars. Are people dumb, blind or both?

Also, are they gonna change the naming for next phones? iPhone 13 just doesnt have the same ring to it.

I can’t believe the notch still causes this must talk. I really don’t even notice it anymore.

From iPhone 6s iPhone have become thicker and thicker, it’s 6 years now. Goes to shoe how bias and cliches take root in people minds.

yh the phones have gone thicker but sadly the ipads have gone thinner and have lost there rigidibility and structure they flex more

I want an iPhone Shuffle as an alternative to the Apple Watch. You pin it to your shirt and you tap it to make phone calls, text, make appointments, and other Siri stuff. It will have a chirp sound and you can also play Apple Music if you want or use your Airpods. They can make it shaped like an Apple and you would use it like Star Trek the Next Generation comm badge.
There were actually rumors of something like this being developed some years back. I don’t remember if it was Apple or a 3rd party.

Unless they can make the rear cameras thinner, which I’m told probably needs periscope cameras with increased cost and probably optical compromises, then going thinner just means the camera bump gets more pronounced. My vote is to keep the thickness as is and use the space freed up inside due to thinner screen assembly to expand the battery capacity to build further on the huge progress made this year in improving battery life.

Those are people who want to make a great product look bad in some way and bring up an excuse why it couldn't do it right which should be fired.

It's just a name, I don't care what it's called although I fully expect the naming of the 2020 iPhone's to be iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12. Makes perfect sense.
I dont care about the name either, just curious because I can't imagine we'll have iPhone 13 or iPhone 15, sounds very uncool.

An iPhone with the form factor of an iPhone SE could have a 5" screen. #justsayin

This 5.4" will be the one i will hold on to for the longest possible time. In an edge to edge form factor, it's finally the come back of one-hand-usable smartphones WITH high end specifications. Couldn't care less about the notch even though the smaller the better. But yeah, 5.4", bring it on!

Just found this render on Twitter comparing the current lineup with these new sizes :D

There are other easier methods to obtain users data vice taking the risk in public to confiscate a physical device and gamble that the user has not implemented a screen lock or timeout function. It is easier to send a phishing attack and have greater success with less risk compared to what some are overblowing with a physical robbery.

As mentioned I have traveled the streets of developing countries for months and been doing it for years, one could say that I have been fortunate. However the matter of fact being is that if you flash and flaunt your wealth in any countries there will always be low level thieves who will eye it at a distance. This used to happen with expensive cameras and pickpockets, etc. Common sense is what I would advise to exercise. ;)

DISCLAIMER: I do not believe this is a political post, just pointing out the ridiculous notion some people have of the world and the devices one own's.

Yes there are easier and less risky methods, I agree. As I said it's not something that's likely to occur. However, not everyone knows how to do a phishing attack, nor even what it is, so those computer-novices or simple criminals would rather physically take a device. The screen lock and timeout function can be disabled quite easily in settings as the device is unlocked.

I agree with your second point too, which I briefly reflected on within my previous reply.

For myself and judging on your comment, you, I certainly do not carry my phone in my backpocket, leave it in places or put it down in a location which can easily be stolen. This further lowers the risk. However, I know in fact some do not take such care. One could then say "well it's your own fault" and to an extent I agree. At the same time, phones are becoming more expensive and therefore, more lucrative to the criminal, so TouchID would be a safer alternative. However, as mentioned before, in the overall scheme it's going to be an extremely rare occurrence which for most, won't warrant going back to TouchID for this one pre-caution.

5.4 would be nice to carry. I worry it might feel cramped to use. I’m on the 11 Pro which I love. But find typing on it harder than on my previous XR.

5.4” is too small. 6.7” is too big. 6.1” will have compromises. Where do I go?!
This right here. I have the exact same thoughts and even seen a rumor elsewhere that the 6.1 won't have 5G or use Qualcomm but stick to Intel and just be 4G LTE.
