Any my 7, my wife 6s, and my daughters SE. All mentioned by different genius when I individually had their batteries replaced. The SE problem isn't fixable because non-apple battery case and the phone doesn't know it isn't just on a power cord. But the apple cases the phone knows...
I don't mine the silicon either. I find it's great for protection. BUT, the battery hump is one of the ugliest cases EVER on the market. THEY made no attempt at aesthetics and focused on functionality! Which is completely the opposite of other products, where it is all aesthetics and little on the functionality!
Jobs approved all the products, and had a handle on the company as Apple was his baby. Tim just treats it as a cash machine and doesn't really care about the products. Tim is no visionary that's for sure
Don't tell us about the removal of classical headphone socket or the ugliest notch: both not really necessary.
The notch is a design accident: if you wish an unbroken view on video/game/photo you get a smaller active display area with black frame – so the full display look is a lie. Ugly for all who kept their clear view![]()
They needed something that would fit with the bloody rim around the camera?
I'm not a designer or anything but like... you'd think you could kill 2 birds with 1 stone by making the phone 1mm thicker, hiding the camera's rim and spreading the battery evenly using the newfound thickness.
Love the look of this case—who makes this? Anyone know?I already use one of similar make for my X.
Its not too bad plus it’s better than carrying a separate power bank.

My XR gets me through 2 days of heavy use. That includes almost 9 hours of screen-on time, plus Apple Music streaming (mostly screen OFF) also used for 30-60 minutes per day.
I was just on a short vacation with my family in Sydney and Wollongong (Australia), and only used my phone for GPS/maps, the camera (30-40 photos/day), photo uploads to family, and checking the Raptors/NBA highlights, and my XR easily would have lasted 3 days if I decided NOT to charge after Day 2. In fact, I could have probably lasted 4 days. It’s awesome!!![]()
They are apparently experiencing some delays, word on the street is that they wanted the"hump" to charge the new AirPods case and Apple Watch wirelessly.
That doesn’t sound very intuitive for them to make you turn your phone upside down just to charge your watch or AirPods. I’m going to assume this not true. They are apparently experiencing some delays, word on the street is that they wanted the"hump" to charge the new AirPods case and Apple Watch wirelessly.

Actually, I'd welcome that feature. You won't be missing notifications if that's the issue because the Watch is screen up. I find my phone face down on my desk or in my pocket half the time anyways since I'm wearing my Watch for notifications.
But what situation is that for? At home, at the end of the day, with the iPhone plugged into a Lightning cable? Who takes their watch off at work to charge it? I suppose I understand it as a backup, sort of like plugging the Apple Pencil into the Lighting port when it runs out of charge, but not the most efficient way to charge it regularly. And what happens for those who have been actively using Qi charging mats since the 8 & X? They have to switch back to a Lightning cable in order to not have to use their watch charger or plug in their AirPods case? No thank you ...
The battery case needs to charge via Qi so people can keep using their iPhones wirelessly as they always do, and if putting a coil in it enables optional wireless charging of the watch or AirPods in pinch, so much the better. But not a deal breaker.
[doublepost=1545467783][/doublepost]The fact that Apple is about to release these cases shows what it an insult it was to those of us who bought an iPhone X that Apple never bothered to offer one to us. Likewise its failure to offer silicone cases for its recent iPads.
Maybe because it is called a smart case.
What is smart about it?[/QUOTE
