I finally found a use for the World Clock widget...
Does anyone know at what time announcements in Paris have been made previously?

Of course only a couple of selected European journalists will be invited, but they will not have any electronic devices (no camera, no telephone, no voice recorders, etc...)
For obvious security reasons, especially due to the presence of American citizens, we will not reveal where this Q&A Session will take place. We also hope that other Mac-dedicated or News websites will not make it public.
Do not send us email requesting this information, we will not give it away.

I think Apple test a new style of communication in Paris, more simple, open and informative. I prefer, and you?
See you soon in Paris!![]()

I'm a lurker, and a newbie lurker at that, and I feel reeaally out of place here because I know so little about computers in general - let alone Macs - compared to the rest of you!
So here's what I gotta ask, because I'm planning on buying a new PB one way or the other, tomorrow (once I find out what's unveiled!): in the future, when they make the PowerBooks that have the Intel thing going on inside (sorry...don't remember the lingo/correct term), will there be any reason one of the current, upgraded Powerbooks won't work with the rest of the world well enough, past that point? I.e. will all the future PowerBooks be communicating perfectly with the PC's and the older apple laptops will be SOL? No smart corporation would do that, right?
Thanks!

Hey, if I keep repeating it before every keynote/event, eventually, I'll be right.![]()

I live in Paris near "Le Parc des Expositions", the Apple Expo address.
The Apple stand is alway the same but the banner on the top of the corner is only reserved for significant scoop!
The photographs show only one small part of the stand and workmen can add new poster at the last moment.
Some people looked under the black cloth and describe two new thing plate and grey. One clear gray and the other dark gray in two size.
Some people think it will be new laptop with a new design. 90% of chance. But it can be a surprise like Apple can do.

nah, not enough seeds yet. i don't see that happening till mid to late october.E1Presidente said:Think there's a chance of 10.4.3 getting its public release tomorrow?
SiliconAddict said:I think they will be demoing early x86 stuff to start a buzz. That is the only reason I can think of why they don't want any recording devices. Something that isn't coming out that day. Maybe x86 PowerBooks? They couldn't this early. Could they...naaa. Maybe they are realeasing the x86 Mac Mini and x86 iLife. Its still too early though. Its has to be. Right?
God damn it this company needs to stop dicking with my mind!!![]()
Can be that Apple wants to touch the Window users and benefits from this event to inform all the public ones. Keynotes was very (too much) advertising and self-satisfaction.SiliconAddict said:Naaa. I'm not an Apple fanboy but even I enjoy a Jobs keynote. Its interesting to watch the man go through his paces. If this is the end of the keynote it will be missed.![]()

The keynotes are well for "mac geek". Can be back in SF.
On M6, a French TV magazine recently presented Steeve Jobs like the megalomaniac head of a sect. In Europe, macintosh is very minority.![]()
Yvan256 said:Not that many Mac heads in Canada, either (except maybe in a few major cities).
In fact, aside from myself and my brother (who bought a Mac mini on my recommendation), I don't know anybody else in my city who's a Mac user.

Happy Birthday by the way if your profile is correct.
