This is, arguably, the stupidest Apple article ever published and probably the best argument for firing and replacing Tim Cook as CEO. It took Apple fourteen years to put a native calculator on iPad (assuming this actually comes to pass.) Fourteen reasons why Tim can’t make even the most basic decisions.

So I no longer have to buy an iPhone to use the calculator app? Thats a big lead forward!

Well on needs to remember they get a % of all of those calculator apps. Then the delay starts to make some sense. One of those calculator apps wanted a monthly subscription, I literally spit out my drink laughing seeing that.

Courage innovation it’s the Apple way ! The best calculator ever ! so the new iPads have nothing else to offer

WAY, way overdue. Should have had it at least three years ago.

It's understandable why Instagram for iPad hasn't appeared in the past due to the relatively poor rear cameras on iPads, but ever since the 2018 model iPad Pro models arrived, that's no longer an issue. Given the quality of the camera sensors on the current iPad Pro models, Instagram for iPad should have been available since 2020.

Stage Manager lets Instagram load in a landscape window without it forcing full screen portrait mode. Works well for me.

It’s a miracle!!
It’s a MIRACLE!!!!!!
Finally, Apple is able to bring Calculator app to iPad thanks to technological advancements in AI and quantum computing.
And with a 14-year intensive research lead by the best scientists, engineers, programmers, designers. on the planet to come up with this marvellous creation.
Calculator on iPad. Innovation.
Can’t innovate my ********.
The iPad needs 100% parity with iPhone. There is no (good) excuse for anything less.
Yeah because both are running iOS. In fact, all features bars hardware specific should come together at each major release.
