Every iPad comes with Numbers for free. Should cover anyone’s calculating needs…While I'm interested in seeing the integration with Notes, good to excellent free (and ad-free) calculators are not exactly scarce for the iPad, nor are inexpensive to more expensive but powerful options. Just off the top of my head on the free front:
- The Spotlight search field (yes, I know - but I'm always surprised to find out someone doesn't know about this option);
- NumWorks (powerful, classical layout);
- The GeoGebra and Desmos apps (multiple types and layout options for both);
- Microsoft Math Solver (handwriting oriented);
- PCalc Lite (ad-free - can be enhanced via in-app purchases)
On the paid front, I'm pretty sure that every possible option, from traditional four-function versions to symbolic math apps, as well as virtual versions of pretty much every calculator ever created by HP or TI, is available. In fact, TI has a version of its top-of-the line TI-Nspire specially designed for the iPad...
Why is this even f-in news?
Why not just release this through the App Store instead?
What is this app? Looks sharp! Could you share a link? I can't seem to find it in the App Store, none of the screenshots look the sameFirst thing I do to every Apple product like the iPhone and iPad is to install a HP calculator app with RPN.

For now, you can do that in the spotlight search box. Just type something like "100 yards to inches", for some common ones you don't even need to type the latter part, like in this example, it converts it to 91.44 meters as soon as you finish typing "100 yard".3. I guess asking for built-in unit converter is too much while Samsung had it for years.
Will be good to have a proper calculator app opposed to all those ad ridden ones in the store.
Did he tell you that personally?Steve Jobs turning around in his grave.
That is what I am doing. I am also using the same spotlight search when I want to see history for my long addition numbers.For now, you can do that in the spotlight search box.
