All good here on a 42mm Nike+ - install took a good 30 minutes from my iPhone 7+. The watch rebooted twice after install the first reboot after unlocking the watch and another minute+ of the round ring status indicator (we have a name for this?).

My battery seems to be about the same perhaps a bit better - overnight I wear the watch and went to bed at 10:30 and 97% charged. When I woke this morning at 5:30 battery was at 94%. I use the HeartWatch app to monitor my heart rate throughout the day/night, approximately every 5-10 minutes while sleeping. I have DND on from midnight until 5:30 when my phone/watch alarm wakes me.

No noticeable issues at this time.

edit: Added time to install details

So this is now happening to me:

Listening to music from my iPhone, I got a notification on my Apple Watch (Activity Update). My music stopped, my iPhone disconnected from my AirPods and I had to put my AirPods back in the case, close the music app, then reconnect my AirPods to my iPhone and restart the music app before I could listen to music via my AirPods again.

This also happened when I got a Breathe notification.

I have reported the bug to Apple. Anyone else had this happen?

Installed it 24 hours ago on my original Stainless Steel version (got it on the day of release). It seems to have vastly improved my battery life. After 16 hours on my wrist, I've got 38% battery left. Yesterday it would have been totally flat at the same length of time. In fact I was beginning to contemplate buying a new one on the basis of the assumed battery capacity degradation, but from this I think it'll last until Series 3 comes out.

Just updated from 3.1 to 3.1.3 - no issues took almost an hour. Overall performance seems a little smoother so far.

So a 3.X.X update is somehow going to be worse? It's bug fixes, not a major release.
You didn't spend 3 months with a $1100 paperweight on your wrist that Apple broke with a software update.

I have no bugs to fix, now, and will not update no matter what you say.

The anomalous stand hours when sleeping bug is not fixed.
What is this bug? Whenever I put mine on the charger to full 100% it's stays on this for hours even after heavy use the only thing that works after trying everything is to power off for about 20 min, then power back on the indicator starts working normally. It's a pain to do this every time after charging to 100%. This is series 0 on 3.1.

We are talking about two different things. By stand hours, I mean the blue ring that indicates the number of hours you are standing and moving for at least one minute. Mine (and others) has been recording these minutes of standing and moving when I am in bed asleep. I wear my watch to bed for sleep tracking.

I got my update sorted. If the Watch app won't acknowledge that the watch firmware is out of date, you need to un-pair the watch, re-pair it, choose Restore from Backup, and then go to General > Software Update. The update notification should appear.

I think, because Apple doesn't officially support sleep tracking, this might just be a design flaw and not a bug that Apple is keen on fixing anytime soon. You'll probably have to wait for Apple to bring sleep tracking to the Apple watch in some sort of official way or hope that a third party developer can figure out a way of ignoring the movements being tracked as stands during the night.

Before 3.1.1 it didn't do it.

Hmm... I still wouldn't call it a "bug" because Apple doesn't claim any sleep tracking ability in their marketing materials.

That said one could argue that by supporting third party sleep tracking apps on their App Store they are claiming sleep tracking capabilities of the watch so IDK maybe it will get fixed? I wouldn't hold my breath tho... I'd imagine if they are aware of it as a bug it's on a long list and is of very low priority until they offer a first party solution.

There is confusion.

The bug is that it counts stand hours whilst I am asleep in bed. I mentioned sleep tracking to clarify I am not talking about when my watch is on the charge stand, because the poster I responded to with that explanation thought I was talking about when the watch is on the charge stand. Stand hours and sleep tracking have nothing to do with the other.

Just to add, I have no sleep tracking app on my watch.

Oh - maybe it is a bug.

Actually, just to add, when I reported it to Apple, they said they already had that bug listed after I had sent them screen shots and diagnostics. I can say, from when I first mentioned it here, there were a bunch of people experiencing the same thing.

It's not a big deal. I delete them in the morning before starting my day. That actually led me to find another bug: if I delete the stand hours from the Health app, the Activity app only updates properly if I back out of the stand hours data listing screen back to the Today screen, otherwise the Activity app updates it's little bar display, but the numeric indicator does not update.

fun.

For those who have updated to 3.1.3, have you noticed any battery life issues? (good or bad)? Honestly this is my biggest concern right now. I am very pleased with the battery life I'm getting from 3.1

I have Series 2, 42mm here.
Actually improved for me series 2.

Follow up. Bad news. Looks like updating to 3.1.3 has worsened my battery life. After two days now the battery has been below 40% at the end of my day unlike before it averaged above 48% with 3.1.1
So if you haven't updated don't.

Mine was quite a bit lower yesterday evening also. Same usage during the day.

After day one mine seemed about the same maybe slightly worse. On 3.1 I'd end the day with 75-80% yesterday I ended around 70%.
