Apple today released watchOS 3.1.3, an update that follows the watchOS 3.1.1 update that was released on December 12 but pulled later that same day due to installation issues.

watchOS 3.1.3 can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General --> Software Update. To install the update, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it must be in range of the iPhone. An iPhone running iOS 10 or later is required to download the new software, but it is available for all Apple Watch models.

No significant changes or feature additions were discovered in watchOS 3.1.3, but presumably, it fixes the 3.1.1 installation issues that were bricking some Apple Watch Series 2 models, allowing customers who did not get a chance to download 3.1.1 to finally get the bug fixes included in that update.

watchOS 3.1.1 included several bug fixes for Messages, notifications, Activity, Maps, Calendar, and more.

There was no watchOS 3.1.2 update, as Apple appears to have gone straight to watchOS 3.1.3.

For those who have updated to 3.1.3, have you noticed any battery life issues? (good or bad)? Honestly this is my biggest concern right now. I am very pleased with the battery life I'm getting from 3.1

I have Series 2, 42mm here.
Positive follow up.
Initially my battery at the end of two days was lower than 48%. Now after several days it's been better averaging high 60's.
Maybe there was some background optimization task running after the update or caching that took days.
So now I will give it a thumbs up and say it's okay to install.
I will have to be convinced to install future update unless it provides significant features. I'm good for now. This might be like my iOS 8.4.1 where I stayed on that for several years.

Has anyone else noticed battery drain issues with this version? 3.1.1 had excellent battery life. 3.1.3 I barely make it to 6:00pm.
My battery drain went away after a few days. Not sure what was causing it. Hopefully it'll improve for you.

I hope they bring back the lock option. I hate that they removed it in this update. I don't understand why this feature couldn't have been left on the watchOS. Also noticing my battery drains a lot faster. Am I the only one? Maybe if enough of us complain about it, they'll bring it back... http://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html

Battery life fluctuate so much with this update. Some days end in the 60s and I've had several low 30s. That never happen with 3.1. I don't use any exercise modes and only have like 4 apps.
What's going on?

Mine too. Some days battery is stuck all day at 100%. I then restart it and it's at 40%. I've unpaired, re-paired, hard reset, erase all content, resync, yada yada over and over doesn't seem to help.
