I can usually steelman people who feel differently on ALOT of things. Currently, I can’t. You just look at the first 30 days and everything is just not defensible at all if you’re a patriotic American

I wonder when the latter part of the sentence was removed from the text? It still appears in the Apple News version of the story (I assume it'll eventually propagate).
It seems like some were interpreting the comment as thinly veiled sarcasm by the author, which it may very well have been, and which might be why it has been redacted.
This is not a government simply doing things a bit differently yet still prudently. This is a criminal wrecking crew bent on sowing distrust, disorientation, despair and destruction as quickly as possible before resistance escalates. The backlash will intensify as more and more realize they backed the wrong horse and see this is nothing remotely what they signed up for.
Assuming this was intentional (it likely was), you don't have to be a Trump supporter (I'm not -- never voted for him and don't support many things he does) to recognize that this is completely inappropriate.
Trump doesn’t show respect to anyone else so he doesn’t deserve any respect in return. He has insulted just about everyone.
I don't think it's about politics, I see it more being about people so unhappy with their life, their life choices, that feel impotent because they are unable to conceive a way to change therefore they just hate everything that reminds them their condition and that are content with those other people suffering just as well, they found someone who promised people different from them will suffer and that who votes him will have back the illusion of being somewhat "superior" without any merit whatsoever and they all flocked to him.
It's called projection. The left always accuses everyone else of being what they are.

Nah, all the people I know who voted for Trump are more than happy about their vote and think he's doing an awesome job. It helps that they get their news from sources that basically only say he's doing an awesome job. Some of them even work with me as my office is having to lay off hundreds of people because their contracts are going away. They're very very good and convincing themselves that everything is rosy, and I don't see that changing.
Any rational person knows those convictions are ludicrous. But keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
Who needs judges and juries when your own biases will serve the same purpose! In this country, your innocence or guilt is decided by evidence presented in front of a jury of your peers. THEY decided that, not me. But keep thinking your King is innocent if it makes you feel better.
That's our political discourse now. Trump made sure of that with his pettiness, disrespect, and childish name calling. This is our life now.
Why because you heard it on TV? Feel free to list ONE concrete example of him being racist. Just one. You won't, because you can't. This is just the shut down argument that is used when you can't beat someone any other way.
