Long story short... my brother's iPhone 4 was having signal issues. Took it to Apple store. Apple Genius was handling it and he drops it. Screen cracks and back gets a dent. He said Apple cannot repair it because that is "accidental damage" He said even though he works for Apple, he nor is Apple liable for damage that may occur while troubleshooting a product. Basically he said Him dropping is no different from my friend, dad, cousin, gf, w/e from dropping it.

WHAT THE HELL!!!

I'm pretty sure that I would not have left the store without them replacing my phone for free. Did you speak with a manager?

That's ******** , you better get the manage of the store and have that resolve. Keep us posted because that's hella shady you better not give in to that fool!

And you left the store without talking to a manager ?!?! Big mistake. Were there witnesses? If not, you may be out of luck proving the damage was done in the store.

its probably too late... I've left the store and he could easily deny it.

I call BS on this story. If an apple employee cracked my phone, I would raise holy hell in that store. I promise you I would have walked out with a new phone. Promise you!

Yea, go back and speak with a manager and explain the situation.
If that doesn't work out as planned, your gonna have to contact apple corporate.

I was gonna say, it's gonna be hard to prove anything since you left. And someone had to see it though right? Genius bars are pretty buzzing with people.

I assume people saw it. But I dont know them? How would they be able to vouch for me.

Yeah, there's no way I'd leave that store either without a brand new phone in my hand.

Agreed. My local Apple Store would have given you a new phone and a bumper for your troubles.

Guys, this story is fake. No sane person would just calmly walk out the store with a broke phone in hand without having talked to a manager.

Please tell me what type of person would leave like that without escalating the situation?! No one. It's a BS story.

so if you buy an apple product and the employee opens it and breaks it you still pay for it even if you haven't touch it? that doesn't sound right, talk to a manager...
