Note that if you divide a 6.5" screen into four equal parts (with the same aspect ratio as the full screen), each will have a 3.25" diagonal. In portrait format (with the 2.165:1 aspect ratio of the iPhone X) that is too narrow. But in landscape mode, you'd get two almost square areas with a diagonal of about 4.1".
Thanks for that #math

If those price points prove to be accurate, we suspect the second-generation iPhone X would start at $899, with the iPhone X Plus taking over the $999 price point, and the 6.1-inch model serving as somewhat of a budget iPhone X with a $699 price tag — all, of course, based on base storage capacities.

I agree with this.

FaceID with 3GB of ram from my experience is very slow at unlocking, it is the biggest factor that I do not like the 2017 X model. I am very accustomed to the unlocking speed of TouchID 2, it is a step backwards and it started to get to me.

I’ll bare that in mind, delivery is due tomorrow and I have 10 days return period. I’m actually interested to see if FaceID 2 will be introduced with the 2018 models. Looking at the line-up, the original X appears to just be copied in cheaper and bigger formats for 2018, usual spec bumps aside - bad if you don’t like the notch, good if you’ll happily put up with the 2017 model and find one for a lot cheaper than RRP.

This is why you need to buy your phone and Macs in the States. The difference pays for the flight.

Have you done it, what was the saving when local sales tax was added?

I have a feeling that the price points provided by Kuo aren't accurate. Apple isn't known to give out discounts and especially for new released products...We should expect these price points

iPhone 9 = (64GB) $799, (256GB) $949
iPhone XS = (128GB) $999, (512) $1049
iPhone XS Plus = (128GB) $1099, (512) $1249

Especially since the Note 9 is $1249 Apple wants that price point and bracket as well.

Agreed, except I don't think they'll jump to 128 GB base for the X models.

"Volume production" is not "set to begin". Volume production of the iPhone began back in July of this year.

It always does... EVERY year. That's nothing new.

It’s like people are purposely being misled by news outlets and reports, every year, that somehow the tens of millions of devices needed at launch are somehow manufactured in mere weeks.

You would only save around £216 on a $999 iPhone X at the current rate and even less if you have to pay US sales tax. You are going to struggle to get to the USA and back home for less than that, especially if you take into account any accommodation.

now i have to decide which one i should get with the same price range of imac, laptop, or an iphonex plus? iphones are getting more expensive than the imac geez

Well no surprises coming in Sept for iPhone. Leaks are right on par with the usual time line. No rumored new iPad Pro leaks yet. I doubt we will see a new iPad along side iPhone this fall.

What are you talking about? There were quite a few "verified" iPad rumors that suggest a September release.

Part leaks? Nope.. you’re just describing rumors. Sorry. At this point if there were a new IPP in production without a home button and less bezel parts would be leaking all over the Internet.
Are you seriously denying the biggest leak - the icon of the new iPad in the iOS code? If that's not enough for you to think there will be new iPads coming next month or in October, then I don't know.

omg no one is talking about code. Like I posted before (check my posts) I’ve stated “other than ios12 hints”.

iOS 12 beta only tells us a new iPad with design changes is coming, but PART LEAKS are a sure sign indication that the release is imminent. And that hasn’t happened thus why I posted it won’t happen in October.
