Apple Has Not Finalized Details for iPhone SE 4 Display, 5.7" to 6.1" OLED and LCD Screens Under Consideration

It won’t be a mini, just stop. 😤 The mini is too luxe/premium for a budget SE. Apple probably would have stopped selling the 13 mini by now if that were the plan.

I’m sure there are other production lines/parts they can use at a lower cost instead, which will likely be the objective here.

They could stop and just make it from plastic for all I care. First thing I do is put a case on it.

I feel like we're building too much hope of the next SE once again, think low-end/nothing special components except for an A15 or A16 chip.

It will be based on the XR with 6.1" LCD screen, have basic everything, etc - but the price will go up, that's a given with Apple these days.

Crazy thing is I’m on a XR right now with my 13 mini getting ready arrant work and I can’t tell any difference in speed. Haven’t been doing any photographs or recording yet which I’m sure is what eats it up hut we’re at the point I don’t care what cpu is in it. Give me that wonderful 13mini form factor and longer battery life.

Why would you need another OLED iPhone? There is a bunch of them, buy any of these.

PWM sensitivity sufferers need an LCD based option from Apple, so I’m hoping it’s LCD.

i'm one of them and i hope it will be LCD!!!!! i'm using iphone 11 like 3 years already because i'm a heavy screen user.
Like to play games etc, but on OLED it's impossible to do so.

I know, I know. I consider the X, XS and 11pro an old and used design. I don’t think it would be that difficult to put an LCD instead of an OLED in there, but maybe it is more difficult that it seems.

Anyway, be an LCD or an OLED, if it’s on the X/XS/11Pro size, I’ll probably buy it with my eyes closed, and if it’s OLED well, I’ll deal with the PMW 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh my goodness! I’m so sick of this OLED obsession! What’s the point of having a screen with darker blacks and sharper colors if half your consumers can’t use it because of PWM that causes migraines, eye strain, and seizures in epileptics. I’ve had to use a damn iPhone 11 since it came out because I couldn’t upgrade to any of the newer models due to the OLED displays. I swear, it’s like apple only cares about money at this point. I’m gonna be forced to switch to android if they completely stop using LCD panels.

If this is what the SE4 ends up like, the SE3 will be the last iPhone I buy. I've tried to use friends' iPhones with that no-Home-button interface, and I hate it.

It would require new parts. They probably won’t use steel either. Historically they haven’t done that for the SE.

Of course, that wasn’t the point.
