I am still waiting bought the watch just for that ,like it but it hart to stop using my ROLED sea dweller I will see if I don't get it I think to return it by 1/15/2018 $849 is a lot of money and not having the option for health monitoring

Still waiting here too, but like other thread posters said, I think it is because of my age. They’re probably looking for people outside my age range.

I registered the day Heart Study became available. Still waiting with "Notification Requested", probably due to age (37). Hopefully I'll be able to participate.

You can still monitor your health. This is just a study. Like when you volunteer and you don't know if you're getting the actual drug or a placebo.

I think they would want to enroll as many eligible people as possible of both sexes and all ages for statistical significance. I'm guessing the lost to follows will be high as people lose interest in wearing the Apple Watch daily or don't replace ones that stop working. They are probably enrolling slowing while working out any possible kinks.

Anyone else a bit nervous about the whole thing?

My sister was... she initially was like no way. When I talked to her more a bit about how Stanford is the one behind this ... she still isn't comfortable with it. Me? Apple and Stanford .... seems pretty good to me so I don't get the worry or nervousness at all. :p

FWIW, I think it's perfectly reasonable to decide not to opt in for potential privacy concerns. I did think about it before deciding to apply for the study.

I see it this way, It's a resource before they will come out with an FCC approve product, and I like to help, also if I have a problem I like to know about it so it's free checkup, and if nothing wrong so what shall I worried.

More nervous that something might show up than about the organizations behind it.

I was a little nervous the night I signed the consent, but haven't worried about it since. Wasn't nervous about risks of participating, but that something abnormal may be found. I was a study coordinator for a few NIH studies so the language in the consent sounded pretty standard.

My experience with the Heart Study has been a little different than the others reporting here. I joined on the first day. After two days and seven contributions, I upgraded to IOS 11.2 on my phone. My Heart Study app went to awaiting a notification. Finally two weeks later, I got the notification and am once again in the study. Will this happen every time I upgrade my phone IOS?
