At least, they updated the Mini and the Pro. Can you imagine the whining?

2019. The year where you are allowed to promote every kind of emoji gender/race combination other than White boy/White girl...

Where are Apple's Emoji movie and the Emoji series for AppleTV+? That would be so "amazing, magical, beautiful, revolutionary, awesome"!

Wolrd Emoji Day!? What in the name of .... is this?
I mean seriously, emoji still on the news. I almost never use them and I am not enjoying when someone types emojis in their text.

We will end up like Egyptians sending icons instead of text one day.

Probably because most users would be satisfied with the QuickType keyboard's emoji suggestion. I've personally found the current approach to be much faster at getting an emoji.

Always amazing to see how repetitive the comments are. What is the point of this? I want an "argue for nothing" emoji now.

Dumb-ojis are the future. Me can’t think of words an’ stuff. But funny pictures can. Me put the funny pictures in. Why can’t Dumbojis be used when I talk to people in shops an’ stuff?. More pictures mean bigger vocab...vocabul....words for me to talk to people an’ that. Make me look more artic....articu... articul... clever an’ that. Go Dumbojis, Apple!. Dumb is good. Make brain work less. Brain is a muscle. So brain get less tired instead of thinking descrip...descripti... big words. o_O

I love how people pretend certain things they want to have released didn't come out yet because of emojis. Like they took the entire Mac Pro team and moved them to emojis or something.

"IT'D BE NICE TO HAVE A NEW MAC PRO BUT I GUESS WE'RE STILL WAITING BECAUSE OF THESE EMOJIS!!!"

I suppose if I were 16-years old or younger, I would be excited.

Not only that. There are too many useless emoji. Apple has been trapped in the political correctness.
WeChat with only 80 emojis describes way better, way more different mood conditions. Or Viber.

I don't care to see 5 different colors of people, I want to see clever funny emojis that describe a mood.

I'm not sure which brings a bigger smile to my face, seeing the inclusiveness these updates bring, or seeing the people I've blocked being so predictable in their whining.

Why don't we skip the middle man and regress 100% back to hieroglyphics?

And nobody at Apple questions the sanity of this? For heavens sake, just make it two hands or stickpeople or whatever with indiscernible features.

There's the eggplant and peach already. Or did you want multiple skin tones for the eggplant? Hope that wouldn't be inclusive junk for you. :p

Our return to pictographgy and hieroglyphs is almost complete. My gen Z son started reading a book from 1920 and the longer sentences and paragraphs was really hard to adjust to. Having to follow a thought for longer than 10 seconds is becoming harder for all of us.

In some ways it’s already there. If you type waffle the emoji appears as an option. The search is simply in line. But I would like it to be more direct.

    No.

It’s what Unicode became under Steve Jobs.

I'm just fine with adding more and more and more emojis if people feel like they are actually important.

What I want is a way to HIDE emojis. There are pages and pages of useless emojis that I will never use, and so it takes me forever to find the ones I want. Why can't we just have a simple option to go through and mark a bunch of them to "hidden"?
