I can't get anything to buy. Says the same.

GJ Apple, have a sale and not enough servers to handle load...

These deal stories should state explicitly that it's USA only in the header. Stop me getting my hopes up. :(

Of course, I suppose at this point I should just assume that any deal worth reporting is going to be USA only.

The price for Harry Potter shot up to $60.... Just a glitch? Or a mistake listing it at $10?

should have bought 30 minutes ago. too bad, but for $60 i'll take the blu ray with digital copy

If it still shows $10 for you. Get it now before it changes to $60. LOTR is up too.

I'm curious, when you buy one of these "bundles" from iTunes, do the movies show up independently in your library, or do they appear as one movie that you click on to open and show the individual films - like TV series do with individual episodes now? In other words, if I were to buy the Harry Potter bundle, would the image in my library be the cover for the bundle or would all eight individual movies be there?

The movies show up independently, so for Harry Potter, there would be 8 individual movies shown.

My phone says $60 now but iTunes on my laptop still says $10....

they probably have several copies of the read only copy of the database for different clients to access. but when you buy it goes to the master read/write copy to check the price.

my guess would be when you click buy it creates and application object with the price displayed to you and checks it against the master copy price list. if these are different then it errors out.

Not seeing any of these prices from iTunes on my iPad. Star Trek is $49.99, Harry Potter is $59.99. :(

why do the UK only have the Jurassic Park collection for the rip off price of £19.99 still?

Im willing to strongly bet all of the $9.99 bundles are price mistakes. Sales on iTunes are good, but never this good.

Apple doesn't set the prices on iTunes. The studios do. That also explains the price disparity between bundles. Obviously Apple works with studios on promotions, but lots of discounts don't have any apparent participation from Apple.

I run a website called TV Bobber that tracks prices of high definition TV shows, so I'm pretty far into this data. The UK iTunes Store tends to have more bundles of TV shows, anyway, like the first five seasons of Breaking Bad, all of Fringe or the complete West Wing.

The US Store has briefly had several multi-season TV show bundles (like the first five seasons of Breaking Bad) that have since been pulled from the store. It's easy to point the finger at Apple for availability and pricing decisions, cause it is their storefront. But it's all the studios who show up to mark the prices, bundles and discounts.

Pretty ****** move Apple. Get us over there with insanely good price and then don't allow us to buy it, but actually raise the price. This is, by definition, the classic "bait and switch"

When is Steve Jobs coming back?

"Hi, my name is Apple. We're having a sale, but actually we're not. You can't buy anything . . . but wouldn't it have been cool if we did actually have that sale we told you about?"

I was able to get LOTR, Harry Potter, The Matrix, and Lethal Weapon for $10 each. Since I have a MacBook Air I don't have enough space to download them right now so I just chose later when it asked if I wanted to download the movies. They all show up in my purchased area. If the price on any of them was wrong do I still own them and can I download them to any of my devices or is there a way Apple can remove my ability to download them and refund what I paid?

Its the movie studios that price the movies. Apple has no control over that. If your mad get mad at the right people. :)
