Thanks for the headsup. I didn't even know there was a location at Fairview Mall. Was driving through the area today so I stopped buy and picked up a set. They still had plenty left around 3pm, least 8 pairs on the pegs. Gonna try them out shortly!

You're lucky! They were sold out this morning when I brought the iMac in... hopefully they'll have more when I go to pick it back up.

Yyyyyyaaaaaaaayyyyyyy

the new apple in ear headphones are amazing and i've only had them for a day.

first off let me start with the sound, really good not weak like the standard external one that your ipod came with. some say the bass is lacking but i say its fine and if it was i would adjust the eq. very crisp and loud. i coulda swore i was wearing my over ear headphones.

the mic is very crisp, i cant stop recording my self just to listen to the quality.
very very fun and one of the reasons i bought the headphones, i dont even have to talk loud just normal volume of speaking sounds amazing

the in ear headphones fit in and come down and out the ear and feel really smooth coming out of the ear and the fit is nice and secure with out being uncomfortable. the kind you can sleep with and not even notice. alot ppl like in ear headphones for sleeping and these would be ideal. if your a ipod touch owner and have notice trying to ff or rewind with the touch isn't the easiest task!!! thanks to the remote it is

2 click for ff , 3 for rewind, 1 for pause/play volume un and down are very responsive.

mic/remote is high up the cord let say i have them in the mic would be around my neck just around the collar line at first i thought it was too high then i realized that all the one hand on my touch hitting record and pause i dont have to hold the mic or anything like that which is conveniently nice.

i ended up paying like 90, 100 bucks and the only real down side is the feel of the cord its not like sturdy plastic but the soft kind but then again the stirdy stiff plastic usually ends up breaking at points any way so maybe its a good thing? and a weeeee bit short on the length but not a problem for me

i dont know about the shure se210 or any others but i sold on these babies. these are worth the money to me.

they have pretty good highs and mids but zero bass. so dont say that the bass is good because it really isnt

Just got a pair :D very impressed! Impressed the volume control works on my uni-body macbook! :D YEY :) Does anyone if it possible hardware wise for volume control to come to the iphone 3g?

Still no headphones at King of Prussia. They said about 20 came in.. then out. I'm not the online store person so I'll just wait for more to come in.

I already returned the Bose headphones I used to "wait" for the Apple ones. I even heard static interference when it was unplugged from my nano but still in my ears... quite disappointed.

To those of you who already have them - Is the quality and the bass at least as good as on the previous version of the headphones?

I own the previous version as well as the new version of the In-Ear Headphones.

I can say that I loved the old ones, and when I compare them side-to-side, the new ones sound much, much better. It's not even the fit is different, they just sound a lot different and better. I didn't think they could be this good.

We've compared the new In-Ear Headphones to some from Shure, Bose, and others.

Short version: These sound bad compared to some others within $10 of this set.

Long version: We all listened to a variety of media including television shows and 5 different genres of music from jazz to electronica to compare each set. The test was far from scientific, but you can definitely tell the differences between each when listening to different genres of music.

The In-Ear Headphones would be good at $29 because they do well enough compared to those included with the iPods, but when compared to others at or around the $79 price tag they just can't stand up.

Bass isn't just weak, it is almost nonexistent. The songs have a small noise where the bass should be (queue up anything with enough bass such as hip-hop) and it just makes the music sound completely different in some ways.

These are going back as soon as I can get to town tomorrow.

this is so true! These headphones have zero bass. I returned them within 3 hours. they are good but definitely worth $79 at all.

Can you list other in-ear headphones in the $50 to $80 range that you liked better (produced enough bass)?

Those that have a quality microphone built in would be what I am looking for.

Thanks,

Scott

Did you make sure you have them fitting correctly in your ears? These ype of headphones won't produce the expected bass unless they are snugly fit. If they're not fit, they will surely sound thin.

I have them and can say the bass is full. It just takes a bit to get the perfect fit. :)

I haven't seen this question asked earlier, but when people are saying the microphone on these headphones work on the iPhone, does that mean it can be used as a handsfree set? The answer to this might be obvious to most, but I wanted to be sure before ordering them. My headphones/handsfree set that came with my original iPhone recently broke, and I was thinking about buying these as a replacement.

Thanks in advance

Do these headphones block ambient noise well? I'm interested in them for riding on the motorcycle and would like them to replace my earplugs as well as provide some tunes for riding. With the regular ipod headphones I have to crank them up to 100% volume to hear anything at all on the freeway and that, combined with the road noise, will surely make me deaf in short order.

Has anyone tried these on the bike? How well do they muffle outside noise compared to earplugs or other in-ear headphones? Do they snag on helmets?

Is that legal in California then? I'm amazed. Riding a scooter in central London (as I do) with earphones in would get me killed within a few minutes.
