They can do whatever they want, get whoever deals they can get, but if it's still US only it won't matter.
Getting tired of Apple's attitude of US is the only thing that matters.
And don't blame copyright laws, if Spotify can do it so can Apple... Lazy bastards...

Spotify will keep getting bigger because it's worldwide service.

I'm sorry to hear that Florence and the Machine may have sold out :(

Great band back in the day.

I feel like they sold out a while ago... every other commercial seems to feature a song by them. They're still a very good band though.

Actually, if they roll out a family plan on day 1 that includes more than 3 or more users at once AND is available in Canada, I'll drop Spotify like a hot potato and sign up...

Beats music is so far behind spotify in features and compatibility with other gadgets it's going to take a miracle for Apple to get people to switch

The only I'd switch would be full iOS integration that makes the spotify app seem like antiquated junk

So basically, not happening

Apple is a US company. They will always do things in the US first and / or have the power to negotiate here first. Should not be surprising.

Interesting. F+TM has been releasing new tracks off of their upcoming album on Spotify... will they be removing this from Spotify, Rdio, Pandora, etc.?

I hope they don't make their music exclusive... how many people will switch streaming services just because a few artists are exclusive? I'd rather just buy their album off of iTunes since I have already built up quite the Spotify library. Of course, I could be in the minority. :)

You would think these artists would want as much exposure as possible...

YEAH for artists I do not listen or care about, after sampling Beats for one week free I got tired of it because of its terrible UI that makes it difficult to find any music and mostly all you find is pointless Pop or Rap music. IMO Spotify is better and they also give student discount with a lot more music to stream but either way I think I will stick with iTunes purchasing music until Beats is part of iTunes Match because I really do not see why I should waste money on Beats which is part of Apple and should not be separate from iTunes.

If I wanted to stream music I would go with Spotify because it is cheaper and has a lot more music options.

Having in mind that Europe/Asia combined gives more revenue to Apple than Americas, maybe they should rethink this.

I can live with Apple's often compromises in hardware to push technology forward. But I really have to shake my head in disappointment at their decisions to throw money at circus monkeys like U2, Iovene/Dre, this rumor du jour, yesterday's notion of caving to ABC's bloated channel packages. I always hope they lean towards what the consumer wants and let the media companies/artists dangle in the wind until they come around. However we end up getting more of the same while Jony is off rubbing knobs with Karl Lagerfeld.

So in essence "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

Apple too late in the game. I already pay ~$10 for unlimited music on Spotify, amazing playlists, and I have ~100 friends that use it and share songs. Taylor Swift will not make me switch - in fact, could Apple offer anything that would make me switch? Maybe if they not only included music streaming services, but also TV and Movie streaming for ~$10.

Great... Make ever song exclusive to this or that platform. Its really pissing me off and somehow Spotify is always painted as the bad guy. Ill just go back to torrenting in that case. I aint gonna pay for 3+ different streaming services just to listen to certain artists. Idiots! They just dont get it. That new TIDAL crap being the worst of them all. And speakinf of Taylor Swift, she already put her discography up on Tidal so it makes no sense

It feels like hip-hop is finally out of fashion.

THAT will be a fine day. I've been opposed to upper middle gangsters for years. Brooklyn has been gentrified for decades and does not need another 'shout out' from some token black guy... who more than likely went to a private school and has this fantasy of being a thug.

Yeah, right, I'll sign up for Beats Music right now if Taylor Swift album is exclusive.

Sorry Apple, your music services are no longer appealing. Apple can't even bring iTunes Radio to Europe. I used to use iTunes, but now I just use Spotify and I don't see myself coming back. Apple needs to do much better than Spotify.

When using your Mac / PC or your iDevice on wifi you can simply go to YouTube or sites like that and listen to the music. Even without commercials if you use the right plugin on your Mac / PC.
