That was an ignorant statement made by an equally ignorant man. To me it's half true.

Before a new product line is released, yes I agree the public doesn't know. But AFTER it's out there, Apple needs to do a way better job of listening to feedback from its customers. They do on some things, (native apps on the iPhone, 4" iPhone) but are notoriously horrible on others (making "Pro" models out of tape & glue with fewer and fewer BTO options, creating an entirely new laptop line instead of dumping a retina display in the Air, etc.)
How do you know they don't listen to their customers. They may not just listen to posters on anonymous Internet forums.

Someone on hear last week was saying that the SE models were collecting dust on the shelves. My wife works for Verizon and they've been sold out and having to direct fulfill all storage sizes of the SE for awhile now.

Just out of curiosity, what all do you keep on your phone? I take a lot of photos and video and 64GB is more than enough for me. Could not do a 16GB without having to regularly delete things, but I could make it work.
I use iCloud too and I wonder if 16 g is enough and doable with iCloud.

... proper size for a phone. Nice to see SOMEONE got it right... too bad it's Apple.
Why browse an Apple forum if you've no interest in Apple.
Because I do have an interest in bashing Apple.
Fixed it 4u

Actually I'd expect sales continue to grow. Didn't buy a new iPhone since years, got my SE a month ago now and love it. Pretty sure the size and the specs will suit a lot more people's needs exactly.

Apple is desperate after declining of sales. Spreading false info about sales is how you attract the sheep. The iPhone SE is the worst smartphone of 2016 and many reviewers hated it.

It's kinda worrying me that Apple doesn't really know what their customers want any more. Many of us for years were calling for the small iPhone to come back. They sold ridiculous amounts from 2007-2013, and then expect everyone to want big phones. Some of us did (I settled on the 6s after trying the 6 Plus), but many of us didn't. As I've mentioned many times, I know many women who just stopped upgrading altogether because they didn't want a bigger phone.

I understand the 6 launch. The focus was on the big screens and Pay, and needed to ensure they sold a ton of them. Then Watch came out 6 months later, and the strategy was probably to help ensure sales by making that the only way to get Pay on earlier iPhones.

But where Apple totally missed the opportunity to upgrade both the 5c & 5s was when the 6S came out. That's when they should have bumped up the specs of the 5s to equal the 6, and left it at the same $499/549 spot. They should have then bumped up the specs of the 5c to match the former 5s, but adding Pay, and kept it around another year as the base model while lowering it to $399. Then the SE didn't have to be such a huge deal, Apple would have made more profits, and it would have kept most of the 4" crowd happy. Then they could have released all three sizes with the 7, pleasing everybody.

iPhone SE is best phone I've ever had...traded in my iPhone 6, I forgot how much I love the smaller size...it's a perfect phone!!!!

I know a couple of people who bought the SE and love them. I'm glad Apple is offering a slightly less expensive model so those people who want an iPhone can potentially afford one.

I just got my wife a 64GB rose gold SE.

I currently have a 128GB 6s plus, which I really don't like. It is too big for one handed stuff, and I prefer the squared edges over the round. The 6s plus constantly slips out of my grip.

The only thing that is holding me back from switching to a SE is the storage, why can't Apple offer it in 128GB?
