I thought they were talking about music, meh.
I showed my stratocaster to a rapper and he asked me if he had to row and where was the boat

I am hating the new redesign of Apple Music. Particularly the huge font sizes. Doesn't fit in with other apps like Mail. It got worse for me than iOS 9. I agree the interface is simpler now but its very ugly. I ended my subscription after the trial.

I am a very happy Spotify subscriber now. The Spotify app is flawless though apple is not letting them update their app. Playlists are awesome. I can listen to my friend's playlists. Spotify is more social than Apple Music. Not sure what Apple is trying to accomplish with Connect. There is twitter if artists want to connect to their fans.

When one doesn't want to hear an opposing viewpoint, one simply labels it as racist.

That's the go to move for the party of 'tolerance' these days.

Given the bumper sticker simplicity with which you apparently view the world I don't especially want to hear more or your viewpoints but I don't think that makes you racist.

(Is "party of 'tolerance'" a euphemism for something?)

Oh your just jealous. Clean air, clean water, affordable housing, cheap utilities, lots of room, low crime, no fighting traffic and more freedom. It's not all that bad. Believe me.

And the Black Hills are beautiful. The badlands too but I wouldn't want to live there. Rapid City I could do for limited amounts of time just to get away from the city.

No, we have Interstate highways and they are smooth with a speed limit of 80 MPH, modern homes, electricity, running water, high speed internet (100 Mbps for $39.95 because we aren't stuck with Comcast or Charter)
Heh, this is funny because the Bay Area (stereotypical home of snobby people like the guy who insulted you) is stuck with Comcast in many places. Not just that, but the entire Internet infrastructure totally sucks around here. Sure, you can get 100 Mbit/s for a premium, but it'll drop packets randomly. FaceTime _does not_ work here. The call fails every few minutes.

Maybe it's better in San Francisco, IDK.

I feel the opposite - I really like the new design in iOS 10. I think it's much better than Spotify, which has absolutely god-awful navigation (tapping on an artist, for example, just shows blows up the picture of that artist instead of taking you to the page. So many options are hidden behind a hard-to-reach menu in the top-right corner; try hitting that while walking).

Spotify does have much better playlists, though. Maybe the ones I like are just poorly named (I discovered some amazing playlists with non-obvious names through years of subscribing to Spotify, so maybe I just need to give it more time). I've seen a few interesting things on Connect, but it's not likely to be a major thing on any platform IMO. People want to listen to music, not spend all their time checking up on the artists. Now and then you may glance at it, but nobody is going to check it regularly.

The App update thing is just Spotify being arsey. Apple doesn't appear to be targeting them or singling them out whatsoever, but they want to give that perception to retain the perception that they are underdogs in the streaming music market while at the same time championing that they are #1.

I have no issue with limited time exclusives. History is full of precedents were record stores or radio stations had exclusives to an album for a limited time before going on to wide distribution.

But if Apple is actually planning on making these artists permanently exclusive to Apple Music, they will have lost my decades long support and I'll move to Spotify.

Don't be evil Apple, don't be evil.

This entire post contradicts itself.

So where are those racist comments?
Yeah man I haven't seen anyone talking about how much they hate black people, this thread is totally in the clear

Also DAE think rap music is more like Crap music?? lol!!!! Pimp. Cash MOney. Respek. Heheheh AAVE is funny. Rappers so dumb they think guitars are paddles, like for a boat. Lol. Fr*ckin Demoncrat Race Baiters. Idk why anyone would think I am racist, because I'm not, and you're the Real racist for saying so, and,

Yeah it's a dogwhistle for "calling me racist is literally worse than the fact that the school-to-prison pipeline exists"

More stupid ****.

Doesn't lead to new Macs.
Doesn't lead to new iPhones that aren't falling behind.
Doesn't lead to a productivity iPad (excuse me, "PC") that doesn't suck to type on.
Doesn't lead to a standalone retina Apple display.

I'm going full Kanye.

Birdman? Gosh that guy is old news - like last decade old news. Hip Hop has been dead for a while now. Apple has been investing in stuff that maybe 30 and 40 something year-olds might get excited about.

... Am I the only one who has never heard of Cash Money Records or these rappers?
Well I've heard of Drake and it is kind of hard to miss Nicki Minaj, but no, I have never heard of Cash Money Records or Birdman, either. And yet my life feels so full. :D

At any rate by the time I saw this article there's an amendment to it stating this is all about a documentary. o_O I'll put it on my must see list along with Planet of the Apps, for when I'm in the old folks home and bored because the kids don't visit often enough.

Lest anyone accuse me of racism, let me just state I don't know very many country artists, either. At least not any current ones. And I don't care to see any documentaries about them, either. And now I must leave to go look at a large frog according to the text my husband just sent me from the backyard. Ciao.

Cash Money is NOT g double o d good. In-depth with my hip hop history especially early-1990's. We can go further back to late-80's like Lady Loves Cool James. That stuff with Kanye West was only tapping into a small part of my brain. After 1996 is went hip hop went dead. I agee with Michael Jordan who thinks hip hop sucks.

Mr. Andre Young had a say it. Hip hop is still a billion dollar industry just like WWE. Dr. Dre, Sean Combs, and Jay Z are close to billionaires right now. This is financial gain. Apple doesn't cater to mostly suburban, nerdy Caucasian and right wingers like most posters here. Those black folks you might label thugs are still richer than us. ;)

Gawd, I miss old 90's rap songs like the beat from Soul of Mischief's "'93 Til Infinity", lyrical delivery from "They Want Efx" by Das Efx, and The Pharcyde's humbleness in "Passin' Me By". They don't make it as smooth or lyrical like they used to. Early Drake mixtapes was good stuff. But Lil Wayne? Oh, hell naw!

Jenny Lewis once from Rilo Kiley knows what's up with her hip hop history. I got to admit I used to loop Troop Beverly Hills (1989) as a child and she was ths daughter of Shelley Long's character in it. Carla Gugino is a babe. Cash money move for Apple. The color of green paper is the great equalizer between all ethnicitie$.

It's all about the dolla dolla bill, y'all!
