Ok, so has anyone got notification that their number has come up on the waitlist? I wonder how long that will take and how many people are in the first batch?
So I went back in there and looked, and its downloading resources in the background. So maybe when that is complete?

That’s a bummer, guess it’s not worth updating currently then and I’ll stay on the 18 public beta.
Same in the UK. No release notes yet to stop people from downloading if they can’t access it.

Looks like just USA.

My switch, to turn it on, came up first, then about five minutes later started downloading the resources. Was odd.

It’s US English only (It states this on the Apple Intelligence website). Change your language and it’ll work.

UK here and have the option for 18.1. Instructed to change device language & Siri language to US English and device region to United States.
Not sure how that affects banking apps, etc. so will wait before trying it.
More interested in the picture gen, Genmoji and see how the erase objects compares to my other apps. So, happy to wait if need be.

I downloaded it on my M4 iPad. Joined the waitlist, got approved. Didn't work. Rebooted iPad. Now it's working, but I can't figure out any request that will make Apple Intelligence actually go to OpenAI...

Yes. Similar to how we have two separate beta branches. iOS 18.0 and iOS 17.6 [which went into RC last week].

Now it's 18.0 and 18.1.
Yes, sperate branches makes sense for a major release and each branch had a public beta. Now we have Dev's on 18.1 and Public Testers on 18. So what's the priority with Apple in this situation. If I report a bug in 18 are they working on that? Or are they working on 18.1. This just seems messy. Anything that changes in 18 would need to be upstreamed to 18.1.
