This was always a 2025/2026 feature. That's why many suggested skip iPhone 16.
it’s for developers.Whats the point of the IOSx presentation in WWDC when increasingly we have to wait 10 months until all announced features are released..... just 2 months before we start all over again.
Big monolithic releases like that only compound problems. It’s better to ship as things are ready.Cant Apple just accept that if features are ready for September then its probably best to leave them for the next major release.
I hear ya. Shame Apples marketing department didn't and pushed for Apple Intelligence on the 16 so hard. This was always a 2025/2026 feature. That's why many suggested skip iPhone 16.
Agree with this but they need to work on managing expectations better.it’s for developers.

I’m convinced that was the original plan but the “Apple has no AI” story in the press and among analysts was starting to impact the share price so they fast-tracked it. Definitely explains the weird rollout. One wonders why they didn’t just release all the Apple Intel features in iOS 19.
This is in no way worse than MobileMe or Maps. It’s not good, mind you, but those were way worse. Apple also has the advantage that normal people don’t understand what they want AI yet.Currently this has to be one of the worst rollouts Apple has ever had - and I remember the original Apple Maps and MobileMe!
LLMs are not the answer for everything. That’s probably the reason why it’s taking so long. Apple is bound to deliver the same crap everyone else is delivering, but then the thing “hallucinates” and, next thing you know, Siri is telling your grandma to f*** off.no matter what Apple Intelligence features they add to Siri, as long as it's not based on an LLM, it will remain bad.
You mean like introducing Siri over 13 years ago?Big monolithic releases like that only compound problems. It’s better to ship as things are ready.
No doubt. But what else did they have?I hear ya. Shame Apples marketing department didn't and pushed for Apple Intelligence on the 16 so hard.
and then I remember that article that was providing a look back at previous iOS .4 releases and there were I think 2 that didn't go into beta til April ... so, I guess we'll find out ...Rumors suggested that Apple planned to introduce the new Siri features in iOS 18.4, but the first iOS 18.4 beta is expected as soon as next week, and it appears Siri won't be ready in time.
Like new Memojis and AnimojisNo one cares about Ai anyway so not a huge loss.
I just wish Apple would move on so we have something else a little more substantial to talk about.
Well duh it’s a newer phone being compared to a phone that was released two years ago.My boss upgraded from his iPhone 14 Pro Max and Apple Watch to a new Samsung phone and watch he says it’s faster.![]()
more like "here is what i found" and than some bs siri googledMe: “Siri, what is the deal with this delay?”
Siri: “The capital of Virginia is Japan.”
