How is Samsung not doing it right and fast? Here's an example of Samsung's AI features: a youtuber covered his face with his hand and AI was able to erase his hand and draw his face:
That’s the use case? If that’s the case Samsung isn’t doing it right either because that’s not what I’m looking in an AI.

NOOOOOOOO!!! I’ve been waiting two long month since I got my iPhone 16 Pro Max for a better Siri! Now I have to wait even longer? This is the worst news I’ve ever gotten! It’s 2025 and Siri will still be useless on my $4500 iPad and nearly $3000 iPhone!
Never buy a product based on future promises.

Starting yesterday whenever I ask Siri the temperature outside, she tells me she doesn’t know where I am or she gives me the definition of temperature, or asks if I want to get ChatGPT to help me. This is a recent and I hope that means they are working hard to fix her. It has taken so long and has been such bad PR that I think they should pay the developers whatever they ask to get it done by 18.4 as they announced. Hire more developers and pay them well. Such a bad look all these years for the predominant feature on all Apple device devices..

For context, 3.67 trillion seconds is 116374.937 years.
For even more context, that is completely dwarfed by how many atoms there are in an apple.

My boss upgraded from his iPhone 14 Pro Max and Apple Watch to a new Samsung phone and watch he says it’s faster. o_O
He's no the brightest then, course it probably is - new phone vs old phone is faster, if it was apples to apples then the 16 pro max is faster, only thing that's faster on anything vs iPhone is depreciation!🤣

Whats the point of the IOSx presentation in WWDC when increasingly we have to wait 10 months until all announced features are released..... just 2 months before we start all over again.

Cant Apple just accept that if features are ready for September then its probably best to leave them for the next major release.
How does WWDC not make sense to you? The presentation is “here’s what coming in iOSx” and then all those features are released in iOSx. It’s not a “here’s what’s coming in iOSx.0 on day one” presentation.

I wish developers would get more time in general, not just at Apple. Seems everyone rushes unfinished, buggy software to market. If you rush software dev or pay peanuts, you get crap or delayed launches. Plan it properly from the start. Remember when we did that?
When was that?

Hire more developers and pay them well.

We've been waiting for like 15 years :(
This. If Apple had kept a focus on Siri all these years, we wouldn’t be so dismayed and impatient now. Or if they had even kept features that it had before that it took away, we would not be so disillusioned. I remember when.Siri could search your photos according to your request for a date or a person. That feature was taken away. I remember when she could read your mail to you and that was taken away. At this point, I’m thinking that Craig and John G. should be put in charge of something else because their software management has been woeful. Perhaps let them cut the grass? And put that woman in charge that gets things done.

Oh, come on. You know that’s not the same.

Apple Intelligence is a joke. Everything it touches turns into 💩

Its summaries change the meaning of everything. Even something basic like typing on the keyboard in landscape becomes unusable, because if you dont press the space bar exactly in the right place, the AI overlay comes up.

Siri is terrible, but adding AI to it will make sure it becomes worse.

I have been running the developer betas since july. I have filed hundreds of bug reports about AI. i dont think anyone looks into it.

Out of everything I have witnessed since the original iPhone, this is the biggest mistep, by an order of magnitude, in my opinion.

Empty promises, even when apple fully releases apple AI, it's still going to take time for devs to incorporate those features in their apps unless apple is also going to release apps that use those AI features.

I’m not sure who the “we” are, but they will get there. I’m fine with getting it right than getting it first.

Maybe they need to take a step back and decide what is Siri supposed to do and focus the efforts there.

Too many people evaluate voice assistants at how well it is being a trivia box, and it's not worth the effort at perfecting that use case (not that it's good at that right now either).

Yes. For answering questions I can and do use the voice chat GPT with a handy button on my lock screen. What Siri can bring to the table is doing more with various apps and settings ON your phone. I will be happy too when Siri can do well at answering general world questions. Currently it way to often just offers to list some web sites that might help. When I use a voice assistant for questions it's usually because I'm engaged in something where looking at web pages isn't convenient

Remember when apple used to underpromise and over-deliver? Those were the days. This **** now of announcing stuff but then being like "maybe it will come with this OS we don't even know" is such a lame move. Either have it ready when you announce or don't announce it at all. Then again they would have pretty much nothing to announce at WWDC since they keep 80+% of the new features behind "coming later."

Lmao
Apple Intelligence becoming a bigger and bigger joke by the day
They sat on their rears while OpenAI quietly set the stage for what a digital “assistant” could be with ChatGPT. The kind of intricate instructions ChatGPT can handle from voice prompts is pretty astounding.
