Why do watch bands even get announced? Is anyone collecting watch bands? Is it just to virtue signal? Are the margins so high that it is worth it to drive a few sales?

I imagine producing the same band with a new color was like a 3 sentence email to the manufacturer in China. This is not an innovation or product worthy of announcing.

There are watchband groups and forums where people are buying lots of bands with storage cases made just for bands.
Sometimes art and design take longer than one expects because it just looks good.

I'm surprised that this one actually looks good this year. My wife bought the flower pattern version a few years back and it's ... okay.

The ones after that were all hideous.

I would buy that one in a heartbeat, but only if it actually looked good.

It would tarnish and turn brown or yellow anyway.

Beat me too it ... besides, they already make solid white ones anyway.

It looks nice. I like braided solo loops but I don't think I'll buy another one. The ones I have all finish to stretch by1 or 2 points. I put them in the washing machine and dry them at hot temperature but they always remain loose.

I think it's best to promote unity for the country instead of by color.
