I can confirm through Apple employee last night on Apple support chat that this is not true. Only series 3 will let you know resting heart rate, walking heart rate, recovery heart rate and spike in year rate. Was rather sad about this news considering it’s been advertised like it’s for all models.
I'm not an Apple employee and can confirm my Watch Series0 and a Series1 on WatchOS4 only records:
  1. Heart Rate
  2. Workout
It does not record:
  1. Resting Rate
  2. Walking Rate
  3. Breathe
  4. Elevated Heart Rate Notifications

We will see on Friday if the rest of the fields.

I can confirm that my Series 2 w/ watchOS 4 is currently tracking resting rate and walking average. Not seeing recovery and spike in the app but that may be because I only recently upgraded to watchOS 4 or those two metrics are truly only for Series 3.

Edit: In the settings, I'm also able to specify when I want to get notified of an elevated heart rate by selecting from a set number of BPM's.

That is awesome/great news! I don’t know why Apple tech told me otherwise...must be working out the kinks/bugs first is my guess

"Apple said it will address the issue in a future watchOS software update, but it didn't specify how lo"

The problem is Apple never said how long it will take, and that is suppose to make users feel better?]

Hey, this stuff is hard to do right

It’s not just the Apple Watch.

I often have to toggle wifi off on my iPhone when I leave the house because my iPhone likes to cling on to that last bar of wifi for a good minute after I’ve walked far away from my house.

It seems like a simple fix. Mirror the iPhones “ ask to autojoin networks” which if set to off should fix the issue. Also if it connects to any WiFi network and can’t get access it should then disconnect back to lte.

Ive been seeing all of these for the past week, on Series 2 with latest GM WatchOS 4
I have recovery heart rate on my watch 0.
[doublepost=1506032543][/doublepost]The Verge reporter should be fired. She is inept and didn’t even know she was connecting to WiFi networks with login pages. Do some research before posting that crap.

Agreed but Apple should have explained this to her also rather then saying it s a bug and they are working on a fix.
