Apple Investigating Report of Forced Student Labor at Chinese Factory

It is unethical because it benefits from the low wages of non western countries to produce the goods and then sell them in premium prices. And also they empower totalitarian regimes by raising their country’s GDP or signing agreements that give them the right to mass surveillance the population. The western world cannot be basing the mass production of electronics in countries that are ideologically opposing the western culture.

These big tech companies become complicit by doing business with corrupt and oppressive regimes. Period.

Ah. So they should come to the U.S. instead and we should end up paying more than we already end up paying because they empower totalitarian regimes... This sounds Trumpy.

Yes they should come to the US and keep the same prices or even decrease them. Apple could also use some automation. There is always a way. It’s just lack of motivation and greed that get into the way of things. A few millions drop from profit margins won’t hurt them. Tim wants to talk about “social responsibility” and “courage”?!

Let him prove it with actions instead of just with words. Let’s see the big picture and uplift this country even if that means that these out of touch CEO’s will earn a few millions less.
