Yes..yes..i' seen that after i posted, still, why HELLO? Are they planning to go retro?
That would be awesome.
I would love a retro iMac G4 with modern hardware.

Just a thought, last time Apple used the same theme was when Apple totally changed their line up and came out with the first iMac.

I really hope that Apple doesn't decide to shake things up again, and drop the desktop line to go with an all mobile line.

That would make me very sad.

No, they're planning to kill any ambiguity about what this event could be! They're building hype.

"hello", with Apple, can mean nothing else. We're getting new Macs. Now we're just going to cream ourselves crosseyed for a week in anticipation of what's going to happen.
Expected quote from Tim: "It's amazing!" I'ma have to give him a credit if he says, "Courage" during the keynote...lol.

Retro look with updated tech :D

No, I bought 2. Same price as one MBP, except with current hardware. Could not be happier with them.

I know you won't take me at face value here, but this comment has made my day. Mainly because so many people here seem to be like robots with the "I bought a DELL XPS" comment. They always seem to add the "couldn't be happier" at the end as well.

I can't be the only one who's noticed this.

'Hello Again' seems more like hint towards a Siri-oriented event. As long as they announce new MacBook Pros, I don't care. My maxed 2015 rMBP groans as it is.

You're kidding, right? Maybe you should read this thread. I give you two hints:

Given this tagline, I'm really really excited, now
Call me a pessimist, but after the iPhone 7 launch, and Apple Watch Series 2, I can't possibly imagine what Apple could introduce that equals the impact of either the original Macintosh, or the iMac, especially based on the rumors we've seen.

Using this tagline sets the stage for something truly revolutionary. Then again, maybe that's why the iPhone and Watch were so disappointing -- all their resources were going into the new Macs. But it's still hard to imagine that nothing has been leaked or rumored to fulfill the meaning of such a significant statement.

My God! Alleluia! Now, I believe it.
Mac Pro's
Mac Mini
MBP
and 5K displays.....
Come on Apple!

I'm hoping, but not holding my breath for a 27" 5k display at $750 or less.

You guys are in for a world of disappointment. First a price drop is incredibly unlikely in the current year. A 5k display would also be the first time Apple has ever discontinued something without a named replacement, then brought it back. Every time they sunset something in that manner, it's gone forever. Anyone who wants a standalone display has to purchase something that isn't Apple branded, which is a sure sign that they exited that business.

I wonder if they'll announce new iPads? I can't imagine apple talking for 1 hour just on new laptops.

Apple consider iPads to be PC replacements.

Why do you say that?

"hello again"?? That's a pretty bold tagline to use, harking back to the iMac introduction in 1998 and the Mac in 1984... surely they don't have anything _that_big up their sleeve for the Mac, do they? Although, come to think of it, the iMac brand is now older than the Mac brand was when the iMac was announced, so a thorough revamp would make some sense. Strange, it doesn't feel that old at all to me.

It is a reference to the 1984 Mac.

What do you people want?!

Their phone chips have DOUBLE the per-core performance of the closest competitor! What does it take for you to class a device as 'innovative' or 'impressive'?!
