a trendy black phone, with a trendy black headset....but a WHITE dock station? What kind of fashion foul is this?

Might as well be standing next to it with a black shirt and navy blue pants.

Someone give me some black spraypaint.

Waste of Money

I think that this bluetooth headset is a waste of money ($129). There are better quality products out there. I can tell that this product will not cater to certain group of hearing impaired. I used a particular bluetooth headset that works great with my CIC hearing aids. The Apple headset will not work. Makes you wondered about Steve Jobs. Does he ever think about the hearing impaired because he has been neglecting those with disabilities to be able to use the Apple Products. I would like to see a disability lawyer challenge Apple and Steve Jobs.

Does it work with other units?

Can you use the headset with MacBook Pro and/or other Bluetooth enabled units?

I'm not sure if you meant that as a joke or not ("might as well be standing next to it with a black shirt and navy blue pants"), but if you did, that is a pretty funny dig at Steve Jobs and his standard keynote outfit.:):rolleyes:

The guy parks in handicap spots... what do you think

I feel for you, but regarding the disability lawyer comment... what's the case? Apple has no legal obligation to make products for people with disabilities.

Looks pretty sleek n sexy to me, but for $129, I just can't justify it. For me though it's simply because of the talk time. 5 hours IMO is way too short. I think it should be closer to 8-10 hours honestly.

Right now I'm using a Motorola bluetooth headset with my iPhone, one I have been using for about 1 year now. It's not huge but not tiny either, and though I wish it looked a little better, it takes one AAA battery and I routinely get about 30 hours of talk time out of it. I rotate 4 rechargeable batteries and it works out great. Going from 30 hours to 5 hours just wouldn't work for me, sadly. :( Cuz otherwise I'd buy this Apple piece in a second.

Your joking right?

Since when was a company required to provide a product for 100% of the population?

But hey, feel free to sue all those companies that create products for right-handed people. In fact, you should sue them for creating products for people with hands. While your at it, take down those evil bicycle companies too. But please, be sure to use your own money. One person being silly is enough.

As you stated, you have a specialized headset that works with hearing aids. Funny how the world of capitalism works. One company doesn't fill a need, another one does. Consumer gets what he/she wants. Company makes money. Amazing, isn't it.

It looks fantastic in my opinion. All other bluetooth headset I've had before looked totally dork, this one at least is elegant an minimalist. I hope it sounds as good as it looks.

5.5 Hours is really low for a bluetooth headset.

most sets are 10 hours+ nowdays. I only charge my set once a week or two, so 72 hours waiting time is also not very impressive.

Then again - it's the smallest one yet.

My girlfriend's Samsung D900 came with the WEP200 in the box...

...for a size comparison. Not a great headset, as I can always tell when she speaks to me via the headset, but it IS rather cute and small...

But it DID come with the phone (fnarr fnarr!)....!

Yes, for me it's about $69 cool, but only because I bought a $599 phone.

What would you guys pay for this bluetooth headset???

What would the no brainer price be for you??

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the price. For a mere $129 you get the BT headset, dock, USB dock cable, and travel charger.

It's a great deal in my opinion (assuming it fits in your ear and sounds decent)

if it doesn't work for you then DON'T buy it ! <---- line one*

Why doesn't Ferrari produce a car everyone can afford ? we should sue them !

I also want a U$ 50 Rolex (original) or I'm suing !

if it doesn't work with your hearing aid then follow the advice in line one*

Now back to the BT headset... as soon as they are in stores in Thailand I'm getting one, providing I can use it with my mac.

Thats quite unusual, that the actual Dock is included with the headset, as Apple has a history of skipping out docks.

My 3rd Gen 30 gig iPod came with a dock, so what you're saying isn't quite true. But then, my 3rd Gen iPod cost £398. So I would guess that Apple stopped supplying it as standard to help bring the cost down.

Why is it that certain groups of people with certain disabilities think that EVERYTHING should be designed around their needs?

So ALL telephones and computer keyboards should come with MASSIVE buttons just in case the user is 'vision impaired'?

ALL houses MUST come with a Stanna Stairlift in case it's bought by an OAP?

EVERY car should come with disability controls?

Well maybe I'll join that little bandwagon.

WHY doesn't every sofa that's on sale match the decore in my living room? I'll sue, because they're denying me choice.

WHY doesn't every pair of shoes on sale match my trousers? I'll sue because blah blah blah...

There are products out there which are designed for the hearing impaired. Here's a good bit of advice... buy one of those.

To anyone who actually has this headset:

So is it pretty safe to say that if you dislike the apple earbuds that came with the iPhone, you will dislike the BT headset as well?

I want so badly to like this, I love the charging options, how small it is, etc. But if there is no ear clip and I have problems with keeping the apple earbuds in my ear as it is, I guess trying to get one of these would just be a lost cause...

ahh... but the 4th Gen and 5th Gen didn't..... £19 for a dock...grrrr..... so this BT headset with dock seems a good buy to me! (as long as UK price isn't £129!!! Grrr.. I blame Gordon Brown! :p
