Touch screen iMac

My iMac screen is constantly smudged, I have kids;)
My youngest can't understand why the iMac doesn't work like his iPad.
I do agree with the arm fatigue thing.Although, There are touch screen pc's
out there. the disproportioned icon to finger/black bezel on the invitation
picture could have been done for advertising purposes and not be of an actual product?

I'm starting to get the feeling that Apple is going to pull a bait and switch tomorrow. Yes, the iPad 3/HD will come out. It will probably have a retina screen and a faster processor. It may or may not have LTE.

But I think the major story will be whatever they have up their sleeve for Apple TV. Perhaps this is the reason why they've let all the leaked iPad 3 parts go without any fuss. It distracts everyone from something else bigger. I don't think it'll be the actual TV set. But I think they're going to introduce SOMETHING that will lay the foundation for an eventual TV set release. Yeah, they might release an ATV3 that has 1080p. But frankly, that's not all that exciting. I'm going to venture a guess that they will announce some big content deal.

Can't wait to see what's coming!

Dream iMac

I personally would love to see a 21" IMac with detachable screen , iPad like
that could be taken from the desktop to the couch. One can dream!:D

monaarts makes a valid point. You don't merely touch the Home button, you press it as all other buttons with the same mechanism. My hope is that we are going to see an iPad 3 with a retina display and no physical buttons (and, of course, better CPU/GPU, more RAM), at least no rudimentary Home button that is used less and less in the new iOS releases and appears to break down with the time.

I've used the home button quite a few times lately.

When you're in delete mode, there's no way of getting out of it without hitting the physical home or power buttons. (I admit it's odd, you hold to get into delete mode, why not hold to get out?)

It's the all around go to button when you're in a jam. I think ONE button is just fine.

Think of it as a panic button. This is very reassuring to the casual user or technophobe.

Anyway what he said about touch = no home button... my point was you TOUCH the HOME button. So what he said didn't make sense.

I think it'll be something that makes the current textbook thing more usable. And that "catalog" thing too. Maybe page flipping?

i would hope more for a revamped Mac line more than an iPad 3. the apple tv 3 is gonna be great regardless of what's on it... either way, i will anxiously be waiting for tomorrow's announcement.

Picture shows touch enabled MACPAD running Mountain Lion OS

:apple:The picture in the invitation is much bigger than the iPad. The black border on the current iPad is only as thick as the length of the nail on your thumb. Check the picture. See that the border is about twice that of the iPad.
This is the touch enabled Mac running Mountain Lion OS:apple: , probably 13 inch aimed at professionals (video, audio, word proc, etc...) having a true Mac machine to work with On The Go. (Unlike the iPad, where you need a Mac to 'professionally finish' what you've started on your ipad.)
This is the REAL TABLET!! for those who asked for it!!

Beginning at 2006 since the core duo MacBook was launched, this is the 7th year of the life of the MacBook. UNVEILED ON MARCH 7th 2012. :)
This is the Real dream machine for the Pros. Time to say BYE to every laptop on the planet.:D. MACPAD!!! WELCOME MOUNTAIN LION!! Time to LEAP!!
The ipad3 will come later. Should be on the 3rd of a month. ;)
