I have to admit the copy makes me nervous. A "LITTLE" more speaks directly to the iPad mini, a smaller Mac mini and a 13 inch Retina. It doesn't really correlate to a new iMac. (i know... i'm reading too much into it)

well we dont know the internals yet. if it has the A6, 1gb ram and retina it wouldnt be a downgrade, the smaller size will be more portable for some

The reason is they haven't updated iTunes yet. Seems logical they would ship iTunes and have iPad minis delivered the same day.

Also, the Surface ships end of next week as well. I could see this all planned to mess with Microsoft.

Apple will be competative with nexus 7 amazon etc. 8 gb for $200, 16 gb $249. 32 gb $329, 64 gb $399 -- all wifi. Add $100 to 16gb and up with cellular.

I'm willing to bet it will have same internals as the iPad 2 and the iPad 2 will be discontinued. It will have to be priced low enough to peel off sales from would be Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD buyers. After Oct 22, there will be the iPad and iPad mini.

There are the current 4 iPad 2 models and the current 12 New iPad (3) models. So there should be 8 iPad Mini models 4 in Black 4 in White Wifi and 3G/4G.

Will the storage options be 8gb and 16gb or what?

whats the price dif between an a4or5 and a a6 for apple to produce?

512mb ram would be dissapointing to say the least.

Sorry, but this invitation illustration looks very boring. And the tagline is also not very creative. Ipads all look the same, iphones and imacs too, always only a minor visual change. How come apple all of a sudden turned into such boring company?

Mark my words: the iPad Mini will be Apple's flop of the century, if it's just launched as a smaller iPad (and not as a pure ebook reader, for instance).
