Maybe it means there will be 2 iPhones?
Or, maybe he's just lying, and there is no reason to believe his claim, especially when he has no proof...
-No Steve Jobs presenting (but it would be cool if they brought him in with a FaceTime call or more likely an iMessage conversation)
-Assistant feature debuts ("Let's Talk iPhone" hinting at this)
-Tim Cook talks very briefly (just the introduction and other small parts of the keynote- here and there)- mostly just the retail stores and profits summary
-The (1) could be hinting at the "One more thing..." ending
3 Ways I See the Keynote Going (assuming there is a "One more thing..."):
1. -iPhone 4S is announced
- Assistant feature debuts
- Talk about iOS 5
- Possibly White iPod Touch
One more thing... iPhone 5
2. -iPhone 4S (or iPhone 5) is announced
-Talk about iOS 5 (possibly Assistant feature)
One more thing... White iPod Touch + Minor iPods Refresh
3. -iPhone 4S (or iPhone 5) is announced
-Talk about iOS 5 (mostly just a summary of things already announced in June)
-Possibly Minor iPods Refresh
One more thing... Assistant Feature
Can't wait until Tuesday!![]()
Haha, this. People are overanalyzing this invite too much.
The '1' signifies there's an update available for our wallets![]()
You are assuming the new iPhone is an entire 1.0 update. It may only be a .3 or a .5 update, hence a 4S.iPhone 4 + Upgrade: "1" = phone 5.
Simple math;-)
Along with the hardware announcements, I hope they gut iTunes like a fish. By introducing iCloud, Apple has a perfect opportunity to revamp iTunes - and it needs it. Remember back when it just did your music collection - how lean and mean it was? It's become this overly cluttered wasteland with some of the worst media management around. Please Apple, rethink iTunes and give us a new improved sleek and slick version. It's time.

So if you can now get a 7" tablet from Amazon for $199, what does that mean for the iPod Touch??Credit for Amazon, they were ready to take pre-orders on the Kindle Fire just a week before the big Apple event. Now everyone is talking about the Fire instead of iPads.
So if you can now get a 7" tablet from Amazon for $199, what does that mean for the iPod Touch??
$229.00 - $299.00 - $399.00
The current version of the Touch are much more expensive than $199 and that is for only for a 3.5" screen. Will we see an iPod Touch for $149? Will this be the death of the iPod nano??
