Who are these people? Most people have no idea about 4G or LTE and of those who do, most couldn't care less. People who post here are not representative of the population at large.
It looks as if it might not be just Tim presenting.
Let's = Let us
Or maybe they just mean Apple?
Sold my iPhone 4 yesterday for $400!!!So now I wait with cash in hand and using an old BB Curve 8310 (yuck!!).

Okay, first I think you all are taking this way to seriously. I am the biggest Apple Fan you may see, but you all are taking the "1" way to seriously.
On the 4G/LTE note: There is a difference between knowing what 4G/LTE is, wanting it, and living in a area that currently has it. And knowing what it is, but don't live in a area that has it/knowing LTE is too freaking expensive and Americans need to chill with speed. 3G is still fast enough so

They don't stream it live. That is what he is getting at.You don't need an app for that, apple usually streams their events using Quicktime on their web site. I watched the iPad unvealing on my iPhone.
Carriers are doing the best to promote "4G". All commercials are about the "fastest 4G network!" nowadays. Don't worry, Most people know about 4G and LTE, the carriers are telling them this is the fastest service and making darn sure they are informed.
People who post here seem to be not seeing the advertising the general public is. Things Bell, Telus, Rogers, Fido, Virgin and Videotron have been pushing around here :
- Dual core processor for faster multi-tasking and a richer experience
- Fast 4G data access *insert their own flavor here*
- Big screen displays
The general population has been told this is what they should want. They know of it. Only people living in some kind of Apple bubble don't seem aware.
Anyway, moot point, the iPhone 5 is getting 4G in the form of HSPA+ that's pretty much a given. If we're lucky, LTE. Montreal now has some LTE coverage from Rogers with wider north/south shore coverage coming soon.
The Providers Also tell people they want an iPhone no matter what it has

iPhone has been on the back burner of carrier advertising for a few months now around these parts. Apple is doing ads on its own, but the carriers are pushing the Android/Blackberry phones like mad, especially the 4G stuff.
Of course, that's going to change on the 4th as the iPhone gets refreshed and it comes back to the forefront.

riiight. try asking my 70-year-old, iOS-using father about multi cores. good luck with that.

Normally I would agree, but it's been out long enough and the carriers have advertised it long enough that more users are aware. I saw a poll that said 40% of Verizon users that wanted an iPhone were waiting for an LTE version.
I'm chilling, I'm chilling. I honestly could care less about 4GLTE right now, I just want a bigger screen, A5 and 1gig of ram!
you mean you couldn't right?
