According to Apple, Siri will be controlling 6G development.
How about we get 5G mmWave fully available before starting on 6G...just a thought
World dominationJust out of curiosity, what kind of real-world applications should we expect from such a huge leap in network connectivity?
So, will there be a conspiracy theory about 6G when it comes out? Will it spread an STD? Or maybe high cholesterol?
Who knows. Knowing even the basics about RF propagation and frequency allocation, I really got a laugh out of the conspiracy theorists from just 9 months ago.
Sometimes I'm astounded by the idiocy of humanity.
8GE+ is really where you're going to see the advancements we needI think I'll just hold out for 7G.
Can we get 5G first?!

I get 3 bars at home, 1-2 bars up the road at the Wal-mart 2.2 miles from my house (nothing inside the store) and my wife’s son has to have an internet VoIP box in his house to be able to use T-Mobile at all. He lives 4.3 miles away from me. 5G is meaningless drivel to me at this point. Just my experience.Thank you! It’s embarrassing that there are still many areas that have no to weak 4G signal, especially urban America. Wireless infrastructure needs to be beefed up.
Ok but you missed the point of my post. And I meant rural, not urban, that probably led to some confusion lolI get 3 bars at home, 1-2 bars up the road at the Wal-mart 2.2 miles from my house (nothing inside the store) and my wife’s son has to have an internet VoIP box in his house to be able to use T-Mobile at all. Theoretically 4G can get gigabit, but the infrastructure has taken a break is it moved to 5G. Theoretically we could stay in 4G and just push speeds and be OK. It takes years maybe even a decade of research and development to start implementing new cellular tech (4G came out in 2009). Apple can help drive the alliance to provide the features and experience they want users to get.How about we get 5G mmWave fully available before starting on 6G...just a thought
Do you seriously always act so serious? It was a joke. Lighten up!Do you seriously think that the people working on this are being taken off 5G roll outs? This is how technology works and how you end up with better things. People work on them for years. It's not always steady, linear progression.
Depends on what you mean by 'fully available', it's never likely to spread beyond dense urban centres due to the cost and technical limitations. If part of 6G is offering more easily deployable top speed coverage, it might worth expediting it over putting money into fundamentally hobbled 5G.How about we get 5G mmWave fully available before starting on 6G...just a thought
