One thing for sure. Apple has created an awesome application delivery and business model. No one can deny that. Just as software sales were going south, Apple re-vitalized them. 10 billion downloads. And they say Mac users are a small community. LOL

Mac community != iPhone app community.

Like the iTunes 10 billion download contest, I now know not to waste my time registering 25 times a day since the person that wins is the one that actually downloads the 10 Billionth app. I doubt the registration forms are worth anything towards the contest.

Eek, didn't think of that. I can't even afford the tax on that if I couldn't get some cash value out of it.

I would just sell the 10000 dollars itune gift card for 7500 or 5000 then go spend the money more wisely lol.

But... would Apple give it to you as a gift card or would they instantly credit your account? If the latter that could really screw some one on a tight budget who couldn't afford the tax (and then couldn't even sell the card to get the money for the tax).

although i'd like to do the same chances are Apple just credits your account rather than physically giving you a gift card with $10,000 on it with a code to redeem it.
